Just detailed my 308 and did my first "work" on it: the side mirrors were on backwards and I turned them around; the rearview mirror was filthy inside and I took it apart and cleaned it up. Huge improvement! Thanks to those posted about doing this previously.

On to the pics. Enjoy! https://home.comcast.net/~tfieldiii/Cars/index.html

Nice pics! Is it Rosso Corsa or is your camera "yellowing" it up a little bit?

What do you mean that your mirrors were backwards? Sorry if I'm asking a stupid newbie question.....

Those are some nice shots. Pretty good for what I assume was hand held shooting, in low light. Looks like you were using a D100; what lens were you shooting with?

On the mirrors, I noticed that my custom cover would not fit because the mirrors were too far forward, the window beam was partly blocking them, and when folded, the default "out" position was 90 degrees off. This was because the base was on the wrong way (fat end forward, instead of narrow end forward). I just unscrewed them, turned the base around and adjusted the mirror accodingly. Now they are fine and the default out position is right like it should be.

The color is just Rossa, I think. Hard to get the white balance perfect with mixed light.

I am told it's a Euro and it seems to have been the victim of some DOT "tuning" upon import. If anyone is curious I can post the VIN and the experts can verify.

The lens is a Sigma 12-14mm recilinear wide angle lens. I love the lens. A very good investment and much nicer than a fisheye, IMHO. I love being able to capture the true effect of a mountaintop view or a building facade right accross the street from me.
