A couple of years ago, I sold my red 348 and quit coming to F-chat because it made me homesick for my Ferrari. Then I bought a yellow one about a year later and came back to the site. Here is what I found:

    1. A lot of "new" faces.
    2. A lot of the "old" faces were nowhere to be found.
    3. The subject matter was almost identical. Posts like
    - What do you do for a living?
    - Cam belt failures
    - How do I get rid of the sticky vents
    - What's the best wax
    - How should I wash my car
    - How much should I give for this car
    - How often do you need to do the 30K service
    - Should I put shields on my car
    - Will 19 inch rims fit on a 348
    - When will my Ferrari start appreciating
    - When will my Ferrari stop depreciating
    - Is Leatherique any good

    Just some observations.

And let us not forget the time-honored "other car" threads:

    Are Corvette owners all cavemen?

    Are Porsche owners all posers?

Are BMW owners all blind (post Bangle)?

But - isn't that just the way most discussion sites are? People come and go and familiar reposts appear with regularity.

You could almost make an analogy to TV news, in fact.

hmmmm... is that, that worrying!?!? it would be much more if you'd have found posts about the best way to cook pancakes...

It's good, specially for newcomers, to have the support of many other experienced owners.

Ferrari it's a dream for most of people... and when they get it into real, all the things we already heard tons of times, are new and exciting to them... like me.

Time changes a lot of things... maybe... the wax they talk about now, it's not the same it was last year ;) ahahahh

    welcome back

No matter how much we discuss this subject. No matter how frustrated we get at the seemingly silly questions that keep popping up. A corollary of an old saying will continue to rule: A fool and his Ferrari will soon part.
