I recently purchased a new CS and had to buy some signage for my garage that I wanted to share with you. I'm most interested in offering a little promotion to the 2 companies that I worked with. Both were unbelievable when it came to their attention to detail and quality. It is rare that my expectations are exceeded but I can honestly say that I was 2 for 2 with these companies. The owners both set their quality bar high and really cared to deliver not only a good product, but a great buying experience. Rare these days.

The 4'x10' banner was purchased from Travis at GXS Decals Signs and Banners - [email protected].

The Ferrari plaque was purchased from John at Thing 3-D Signs - [email protected].

Tell them that Rick Zundel sent you.

Banner was around $100 and plaque range is $225 - $400. Both are made to order. A real deal in my opinion!

This is a great idea for a thread. I know I am always looking for new signs to buy for the garage so keep posting your sources. I don't really have any to share.....sorry

Exactly. That was my idea with this thread. I would love to see people post up their garage signage and/or recommendations where to buy? Quality and value is the name of the game here.

Just out of interest, is this sign vendor a Ferrari licensed manufacturer?

There have been some threads on FChat talking about Ferrari policing their brand and clamping down hard on unlicensed vendors who use Ferrari trademarks and images without authorization.

I believe that FNA and Ferrari. s.p.a people do surf this forum from time to time and I would hate to see some negative attention on your vendor because you did him the kindness of promoting his stuff here.

Both are very protective of the brand. You may not be doing them a favor by broadcasting here.

Oh crap. Trying to help promote some guys that do good work. I didn't think about copyright. I will have to check with them to determine whether they do or not? Who's the Forum moderator that can shut down my thread until I find out? Thanks guys for bringing this to my attention.

Out of high school I worked at a sign shop and we had folks come in from time to time wanting a reproduction of an icon. Back then there was some rule where we had to actually redraw everything and provide 3 changes. 3 was come magic number and we couldn't just scan to reproduce. We could however scan and redraw of the image for reference. That was in the mid-90's. Artwork (paint media, etc) I think has some exception to the rule as it is the artists freehand creation.

Thanks! Interesting that you say this because that is what we are dealing with here in both cases. An artist's rendering. I think we are safe here for any copyright issues. Non-the-less, these guys do great work and if any of you are looking for something to add to your garage wall collection, here are a couple options. I should point out that the plaque is total custom. You write your own script to match your car and design it any way you want. For example, the Challenge Stradale logo was an idea I came up and John took it to the next level by adding the chrome ring around it. Looks great!

This was a one off sign commissioned/customized by the purchaser, not even advertised by the place that did it. I doubt Ferrari would notice/care...I've bought a couple of signs on Ebay over the years (where the seller is advertising it)- those would be even easier cases to go after if Ferrari wanted to then a custom sign maker like this. (update to my post: the guy that made the CS sign does advertise on Ebay so posting here won't make a difference)

They way ferrari puts the horsey on everything (the NYC Ferrari store has so much crap it's amazing- socks, baby bibs, cologne), I think Ferrari is the one cheaping up the "brand"/"lifestyle" (whatever the Ferrari Lifestyle is anyway- ha!)

The sign you made is beautiful- what happens when you sell the car- does it go with the car and have the owner's name updated? ;)

I love the sign- a really good idea and it came out amazing!!

Here is a large sign I've got in my garage- it looks great and wasn't too much $ either:

Rick- do you have a better/clearer picture of your sign so we can read it? If you hung it and all already no big deal...
