Does anyone know what the deal is for pre-ordering one? I didn't care about teh Xbox360 so i don't know how it works. Do you just have to go to best buy and wait for like a day? Wasn't there some lottery thing they did too? Chris
I'm not much of a video gamer, as a matter of fact I can't even remember the last time I played one. But that Nintendo is so FREAKING COOL. They are taking video games down a different route than Playstation and X-Box. I think it would be a lot of fun to have, maybe even get some fat kids off their couches and moving a little bit.
I cant wait for the PS3!! I'll probably wait a few months for the demand to go down a little and also to let Sony get the bugs out of the system.
Thats a good point. I kinda want to get one when it comes out though to sell it (i know, i know but you can't resist when people are paying double and triple what its worth for it on ebay).
I went to EB games today and was told they were going to start taking reserves in a few weeks, Best buy told me its first come first serve, i want to but from best buy so I can get the protection plan and a little back from the reward zone but do I really want to wait outside for a day or 2 just to get it. Does anyone know if best buy limits you to one per customer
Yeah my 50" Plasma doesn't do 1080p! Maybe it's time to think of a 65" and move the 50 to the bedroom
I'm thinking about buying it just for the F1 game, but that is a lot of $ to go spend for one game while I already have an Xbox 360.
The F1 video and the GT:HD pics sold it for me. Finally, a full field in a Gran Turismo race! No more Le Mans 24 hours with 6 cars!
Regarding the Gran Turismo, Forza 2 will do that for me. But for the F1, I think Sony has a contract with them to not allow an F1 game to be made for the Xbox of any other system other than the PS3. Hopefully, I'll just have to wait for the contract to run. I also think that the 360 controller is a lot better than the PS3 controller for racing games.
I love the ps2 controller but find it hard to belive that they left it the same. Bad news GTA is a Xbox only game now. O man I Love E3 and G4 for showing it to me
GTA is on both ps3 and 360, micrsoft is just trying to make it sound like its exclusive to 360. The developer has said both systems will get it the same day.

The Metal Gear Solid graphics looks amazing!! The Gran Turismo HD is really Gran Turismo 4 but with better graphics and more cars on track. So its not really Gran Turismo 5. Its more like Gran Turismo 4.5. It has the same physics engine as '4', maybe with a few tweaks but thats about it. Hopefully the AI is a lot better. Keep your fingers crossed.

i think it's great we've come so far we can call the latest gran turismo crap. was only 8 years ago even the best pro simulators weren't on par with a silly playstation game. i loved Hard Drivin' being the first game i ever played with an actual clutch.
Ok, here's the scoop. Sony haven't told the shops (EB Games etc etc) how many PS3's they are shipping out/allocating to them. When the Xbox 360 came out, a local store handed out preorder ticket things (about 15 of them) where you were guarenteed a 360 the day it came out and they were valid for 3 days. The guy said they don't know if they'll do it this time but they expect to get more PS3's than they did 360's. Anyway, i've got on a call list and they will call if they decide to do the preorder thing. I just hope i'm not on vacation....
I cant decide which PS3 I should get. The 60gb version is better but I'm not sure if I need all the bells and whistles. I might get the 20gb version and just upgrade at a later date to what I would want. The 60gb version is best for online gaming, but I hardly ever do that so I dont really need it. I guess it would be nice to have though. I read something about a 80gb version. Not sure if the person was making it up or if there really will be a 80gb version. Has anyone else read or heard this?
Go for the 60gb version. Its "only" $100 more and will have the slots for memory cards, hd output etc etc
