Hello again, I have another couple of questions that have come up while getting this motor of mine plumbed. Most of the time I can get a definite answer from diagrams and pictures, but sometimes I need some reassurance unfortunately. In the picture below, inside the red circle is currently a plug. But on the front intake manifold, on the other end of the motor above the timing cover there is a union. So I am assuming that the manifolds where just put on wrong. The plug should be at the front manifold on the right side of the car, and the union should be on the rear manifold where the red circle is below. So I can connect the brake booster vacuum hose. Is that a correct assumption? The union in the blue circle that is in the cylinder head, is that for the heater hose yeah? (that goes beside the brake booster hose up to the front of the car) Thanks again. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The red circle is where the vacuum assist line goes to the brake booster at the front of the car. Big pain in the butt to install. The blue circle is where the heater hose goes to the front of the car. Another big pain in the butt to install. Congratulations on your finding the two worst hoses on the GT4.
I am afraid you misplaced the two intake manifolds. Swap them around and your brake booster bung will be in the correct area
Perfect, thank you. Just what I needed. The pipes are there, but are old, hopefully they come out of the car and I can replace them. Yes, thought so. I didn't install them, but can now have some fun getting those out and swapped around. Will be good to get the carbs off anyway and re-install. Thanks for your help.
