    Dear all,

I want to ask you some questions about a 348 engine rebuilding....

    About the block engine:
What do we have to do?
    cylinder liners replacing.....
Pistons replacing? or only the rings? ( explain your choice)
    Rod bearings replacing
    Crankshaft bearings replacing.

What is the aproximative price for all the parts ?
Where to buy ? (original Ferrari parts ? or not)

    About the heads:

    Valve guides replacing
    Springs replacing
    same question....where to buy

It's only for information, it seems to be a good idea to know it.

    Thanks to you guys!

Huge subject. Replace anything out of spec. Prices available from any of our sponsors dealing in parts, not bad for rings and bearings, but gets pricey with sleeves, valves, and guides.

I'd ask engine fixer...he's doing my engine right now but luckily I don't need a total rebuild this time. Does your engine have compression issues or are you just doing a "normal" service? Unless you have compression issues, had water in your oil to wipe your bearings out or have had a part fail internally...a total rebuild is usually not needed. Gary can probably give you some good advice as to what you should do and what's overkill. If your engine has had it and it needs a total rebuild, he's a good guy to ask what should be done IMO. He's a pretty busy guy though...there's lots of people on here that will probably chime in that have done rebuilds that can offer advice. I'll bet there's posts if you do a search about rebuilding. The knowledge base of this group is amazing...

I don't think I need a total rebuild, It is only for information.
My engine has 50.000 km on the clock...
But if it is not too expensive, I shall buy a second engine ( as sheep as possible) to rebuild like new ( and probably with some upgrades)
