I get homesick from time to time. If anyone went to this event, please post some pictures.

    Many thanks

    Steve,
Do you mean the Sun Mountain Lodge trip last weekend? The group hasn't been to Sun River in some time...

    Will,

The Sunriver Exotic Car Show was in the Bend, Oregon area on the same weekend as your Sun Mountain resort event.

I've never been, but have heard it's a lot of fun.

I was hoping a few of the Portland folks went over and might be able to post some pictures. But, I still miss you Seattle-area guys, too!

BTW, we do have a small contingent of Ferraris and other exotics here in the Knoxville area. Plenty of other makes as well. One of my coworkers has a blown '77 911 that puts 305hp at the wheels. My TR is only about 20 above that and I have nearly 1000 lbs more weight. I also am having fun going to the various tracks; I got to see one of Michael Schumaker's Bennetons raced at VIR last fall. That convinced me to go get an old formula car for vintage racing. I have a 1972 Chevron B20 Formula B car that I have started restoring. If anyone ever gets back this way, be sure to contact us and we can show you around... Just don't ask me to show you US129 (Deal's Gap or the the Dragon's Tail) when all the sport bikes are on it. Those guys are crazy.

    My best-
    Steve

    Steve,

Glad to hear you're having fun in TN.

I still remember the Ferrari club entry that you arranged for the Longbeach parade a couple of years ago after the Cannon Beach weekend.

We had a great time throwing candy out of the cars and making some noise with the Tubis!

    Steve,
It was a real fun weekend at the Sunriver exotic car show.Unfortunately the weather for the first time in 4 yrs did not cooperate so on Sat where there were 80 cars displayed many compulsive idiots (lead by moi) vigorously wiped down their cars every 15 min between downpours!
The banquet dinner was fun-great food and mcing by John Draneas.
    Sorry-didn't take any pics.
Last yr there were 116 cars so the weather this yr discouraged people.

I would have been right there with you drying my TR... I guess it has to rain sometime.

We did the fall color loop up to Gatlenburg, over to Cherokee, then finished with the Dragon's Tail on Saturday... only on our motorcycles and not with the TR. A fun day, but 225 miles on a bike can be a bit tiring.

Perhaps one day we'll come out for the Cannon Beach run and maybe do the Loyalty Days Parade in Long Beach again. I worry that the parade is a bit hard on clutches. But that was a fun time.

    My best-
    Steve
