I heard there was a certain club, that went racing over the weekend. Will they ever post any pictures? Meanwhile I was checking out this indoor karting place near the Zurich airport: Karts are electric. Track was fast and longer than a "half" track at CIR. The karts have a lot of torque and are overall faster than the CIR karts. So much for the good news. They also use transponders so you get a printout at the end of your run. But nothing fancy like CIR does and no live monitors during the race showing the audience what's what. Downside was, that they made them ueber-wide. Check out that rear end, ridiculous! I managed to pass the other drivers simply because they made mistakes/were unexperienced, but an experienced driver on a defensive line could never be passed. Also the heavier and wider karts don't allow for power slides: I tried a few times and got the kart a tad out of line, but it catches itself immediately again. Another interesting side note: They had trophies for club events similar to ours. With a price tag ten times what we pay...Oh those rich Swiss...
