Robert Doornbos took his first CHAMP Series victory at the Grand Prix of Mont-Tremblant, and notched his fifth podium finish in six starts.

    Good for him.

Can I get some love for Dornbos?

After 795 posts you would think that you would have the knowledge to stop and give a few of us who have not seen the race yet ( TIVO) a break, SPOILER!

Not from me. I'm still steaming over his interference with Alonso last year in Hungary.

    Yes you can.

Robert seems like a cool guy, and he's really making an impact in Champ car. He could very well take the title this year, and to beat Newman/Haas and Bourdais in his maiden year would be excellent. If STR is going to replace both of their drivers, then i'd like to see Doornbos/Bourdais or Doornbos/Vettel next year.

Yes, great race for Robert. My hope for the new US guy is Rahal. He made a rookie mistake leading with a gift when the rain started. I think he shows promise and is mature beyond his 18 yrs.

What was Bourdais complaining about? Great job by Doornbos. He's a much more likable guy than Albers and it's amazing to realize that he only started motor sport in 1998.

Yeah it is amazing. He was a tennis player, then was invited into a race, got hooked and went straight in. He had alot of financial support form his parents, so he was able to enter the junior categories, then F3 without trying to scrape together a budget. He has to be a good natural talent tough, to reach F1 after only 5 years of racing experience.
