Someone explain Las Vegas to me

OK, that's more in my ballpark . I thought you were talking gambling budget, not trip budget.

 

God no! If I dropped $4K in two days at a casino, I'd shoot myself!

Ive lived in both Vegas and Miami and I cant see thhe attraction of either... way too superficial, phoney and materialistic... and this is coming from someone who now lives in Los Angeles !

 

If you've been to Vegas, you don't have to go to Egypt, France, Venice, a circus, New York, Rome, New Orleans, etc. The drinks are free, the food is cheap, and the single female tourists are looking for a good time. All good in my book.

 

Because what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Remember when Vegas was catering to the "Family"? What a joke, sin city is sin city. Fun.

 

They stopped that about three years ago.. anyone who has been on the strip with tourists and strollers noticed that there was something very wrong going on.

Don't know why it ever got to that point though.. promoting the "sex drugs and rock n roll" angle really isn't appealing either.. now you look like a closet basket case if you spend the weekend out there (not to mention completely suspect with your SO).

 

There have been many people that come home with things they wish they had not (If they kept their pants on!).

 

well, on the strip, there is some of the finest shopping in the world ( and a ferrari dealership). a lot of people like to go ''balls to the wall''

 

Aren't all entertainment (not the sit by the beach destinations, ect, but the fast-pace, gambling/nightclub/shopping types )destinations superficial, phoney, and materialistic? Vegas, Miami, Dubai, Monaco, ect?
