This is the first I have heard of Max speaking about this. If they find something wrong, I hope they follow through with some type of punishment. This is a telling line:

"(And) it is in the formula one regulations - a team is responsible for its personnel."

McLaren are screwed. I see no way around it. I suspect a 3 to 5 race ban.

And while both Ferrari and McLaren personnel are involved, I fail to see how Ferrari could have benefitted from this.

But of course, I wear rosso colored glasses..... :p

Interesting take on things. I can see the headline now
" Ferrari banned from racing for 5 races because employee gave Mclaren secrets "

Ban. Rob, bring on the Fchat police. :D

Be interesting to see the timing. Might efect the viewing of some races. Hope they don't ban MCL from Monza. Like to see how they do on SF's home track with the Tifosi in fill throng.

I smell payback for Mclarens ( and others) seeking to split from the FIA earlier.
A Mac ban would ensure Ferrari ( Judas goat ) of both titles.
It would also shoot itself in the foot with Lewis mania at full boil.

I suspect that Bernie was actually stating what is in fact reality.

Max has been brought in to make F1 seem like a Sporting contest.

I'm not saying it's not a Sporting contest but there is a large measure of entertainment without which it would not exsist.

I think the FIA should freeze all development on the Mclaren car for a couple GPs. It fits the crime too. Their chief designer had info on a competitors secrets and I cencirely doubt that knowledge didn't affect the development of the Mclaren car in some way.
