Rather strange set of events occurred this week. My garage door was open yesterday afternoon while I was at work and my wife was home. You could see the back end of my ferrari. She noticed a pickup driving around with a car trailer. A little later on she went to the grocery store. When she realized she had left her purse at home she came back. The pickup had stopped and someone was in my back yard. Upon seeing my wife he explained he was from Missouri and was returning from a buying trip from Minn. Asked if my car was for sale and offered 15000 without even looking at it. My wife explained that it was not for sale. A couple things do not add up. Why on one of the busiest travel holidays would someone be out driving around with a empty car trailer looking for cars to buy. There was no reason for this person to be driving around my neighborhood on his way back to Missouri. No telephone was left with my wife in case I changed my mind. Tell me what you guys think. Thanks.

    Complete your profile.

    Who are you?
    Where did this happen?
Did you get a license number or description?

    It sounds very suspicious.

I'd think same as you . . . that boy was window shoppin' and thought he spotted a deal-e-o.

Though your area is lightly populated, this may be to your advantage, as locals would be far more likely than city slickers to remember sighting something as out-of-place as this rig, and police could just walk up, squint, and say, "stranger, aye?" before tazing him in front of a bar on Main. Beyond that, are there any places nearby in which video surveillance is present?

There is no video cameras anywhere near us. However the county sheriff is a block and a half away. The city cops are about 5 blocks away.

As a good citizen looking out for my fellow townfolk, I'd give those boys a call. I'd tell them sorry for vague description, but, hey - perhaps a server/protector will remember seeing something-something or spot the rig this weekend & do some 2+2.
