The poor thing, check the rad on this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1977-400-Custom-Convertible-Ferrari-automatic_W0QQitemZ160219940964QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item160219940964
That car is truly dreadful. Even Bundas would baulk at taking that one on. The grille and fans look great in yellow - at least they used a spray as opposed to a stick to apply the paint. What were they thinking?
Dave This car does not deserve to be in your database. Please do not add it! I am amazed that anyone would advertise their appalling taste to the world by putting this POS on eBay. The only decent thing on the car is the new carburetor filters. Aidan
Don't know. My copy is at the winery. I'll be there this afternoon. Anyone here have a copy of my CD with them? Once upon a time this was a fine automobile. I think we all agree what kind of car it is now. Its too bad. I know theoretically a person has the right to spend their money and do whatever they want to a car they paid for but sorry this just seems wrong. Just proves that good cars fall into the hands of bad people.
you think the seller would post a pic of the car with the top down, or a better side profile shot, and I agree this is a shame to see. WTF were they thinking when they were painting it. Anyone else notice the part saying they have a bill of sale from a nonprofit, and a texas title not in their name, yet this car "has been part of our collection for years" Strange... Erik
S/n 22621 is not in your database, Dave. It must have slipped through the net somehow. It is sooo bad! You should drown your sorrows at the winery this afternoon. Aidan
Well, at least the pictures are honest. I think the overspray is probobly a good thing in this case...poor car. Regards, Art S.
I have a technical question: When painting the front grill of the car, should the fans behind it be stationary or spinning to get the best effect? John
I thought that I had seen this car before, but I couldn't place it. Until I was looking through my dictionary and there was a picture of it in all its glory, part of the definition of "fright pig"! John
Dave, Is this the yellow convertible 400 you and I were discussing some months ago that lives (lived???) in Austin, TX??? How many could there be??? That is strange...we have had the car for years but never titled it??? HUH??? Keep in mind if you could actually steal that car from them (or get it for like under $15k, like closer to $5k) you could spend $30k and have a REALLY nice 400 Cab for under $50k in need of nothing and looking brand new... I COULD BE DONE! Of course at $25k by the time you were done you would have enough wrapped up in it to have bought a decent 456! Best, James Austin, TX
No the Austin car is #46859. Here are a cople of pictures of it. . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
James My 1980 400 is still titled in Texas as the state of Connecticut wouldn't title it. Now I've moved to Massachusetts I think I'll need to title it here. Of course, I'm not saying that the seller of the yellow peril have the same excuse. Aidan
