After reading the very large (at this time five pages)thread on Rennlist regarding Colm's continued attack on Premier some thoughts of mine will be shared.

As I am not a member of Rennlist I did not want to have my first post be a flame job,and knowing the people who commented there are here as well.It has been over two years since Colm had Premier work on his Ferrari and time after time he has been right there to bash Sammy, wilson and the crew for first complaining how much they charge then after the fact saying thier work is not up to snuff.

As most people know here on this forum I have a business and social relationship with Premier,I just wanted to get that out there so when the following points are made by me the comment will be "he is homer for the guys at Premier"and in that regard I am guilty as charged. However I DO NOT or will not conduct business with shady enterprises this is why I have a relationship that is on going for close to four years at this point.

Colm has his right to state an opinion on work that was done fair enough, but the line is crossed when he does not have his facts in order and is exposed for being "thrifty" as I have made this point before on an earlier attack thread he made on Premier and myself here on f-chat.What is so ironic is that here you have a very educated wealthy guy spouting nonsense with great grammar which does not change the fact that it is still nonsense.

Colm has even questioned "why do you not post your price list" and I replied that every car is different due to the condition of the paint, interior ect...... and prices are based upon the hours it will take to correct said issues which my hourly rate is easily found on my website. The same is with Premier as they will take a car in and put a minimum of two people on the job,and sometimes as many as four guys to complete the work.Colm why is it a problem for a service to have a healthy profit margin, this is what keeps the doors open at said business now if the charge is a gouge that is one thing but have you considered the following facts.

    .The cost of the facility
.The cost of the working staff
    .The cost of the film
.The cost of Garage keepers insurance(which is not cheap when you are honest to your carrier and tell them you work on the most exspensive automobiles in the world)
.The cost of utilities to keep all the lighting they have to work on the cars properly
.The cost of sponsorship on multiple chat sites
.The cost of dealing with cheap guys like you

Someone had to speak the truth in this matter finally, look at ALL the Premier customers that have commented on the attack threads you have started as people are still coming to Premier for some odd reason. What is clear for anyone to see is that because they will not work for what YOU think they should charge they are not a quality company and if that is the case why do you not apply that mindset to when you buy your cars, maybe when you dropped 250 thousand on a 430 coupe I am sure you wanted to pay 100,000 dollars for the car but that did not happen did it?.......... they would have told you to pound sand.

    My .02 cents with prejudice

While I do not know Colm more than a very casual conversation, he seems like a great guy.
Everyone is entitled to there opinion, but to continue to bash Premier, I just don't get it.

It is impossible to please all the peaple all the time, should one upset customer put it on public forums?
    I don't know.Bad news travel very quickly.

What I do know is Premier did awsome work on my Ferrari's, at what I felt was a fair price.
The work was flawless and done on time, with many hours of labor involved.

In the end with so many satisfied customers peaple will continue to frequent Premier, and for good reason.
In my opinion they are the best!

What am I missing? What happened here? I do know that Colm has been on Sammy et. al's arses for a long time and I do not get it either. Put it to rest will ya?! I just think there's more behind the story when it goes on and on and on like the Duracell commercial. I myself as well as countless fchatters have used them and find them to be impeccable in their att to detail. To boot, they are very pleasant to deal with. They've done work for on my 360 and 430. The 360's into 13000 miles and the 430 is 7000 miles deep. Still happy and will continue to use them.

Don't like the price, the detailer or anything else? Find another or DIY, just another plus of living in a free market society!
    Whining is optional.
You'd be surprized at how many who attend concours do the detailing themselves.

Bob brings up the topic of lighting and I've got to ask, what type of lights are the best to use while you do a detail ?
I know the fluorescents in my garage are brutal on revealing imperfections that are not as apparent under sunlight.
    Sorry if its off topic.

I think what Pro Detail meant to say was Halogen lighting, which is great for spotting marring and RIDS(random in depth scratches)but you need all spectrums of light to correct paint imperfections. If you are doing high end correction you will need the following.

    .Metal hallide(shows it all)
    .LED
    .Halogen
    .Natural sunlight

I myself and many other F-chatters have had positive experiences with Premier. I was very satisfied with their service on my 360. I would not hesitate to use them again. I've had a choice in purchasing merchandise, parts, and services for my 360 Modena from companies that were not site sponsors, but chose to purchase from companies like Ricambi and Premier because they were site sponsors.

This is not in support of either case.

Sure, I would use Bob occasionally, if I had my new sport car up here, but it is parked in one of my other cxxxxpy custom multi-million dollar homes.
Granted, that would only occur, if I knew what I was getting into (Price) and Value (Fairly Obvious).

Let's make it very clear, no one here, that was not directly involved as a first person, has really, "first hand," idea what they are commenting about in this incident.

Obviously, there was an incident. I have actually seen the work in this case.
Does it happen with vendors and and employees? Ablsolutely.
Do they have other satisfied customers? Absolutely. Does validate everything else? No.
Was this resolved with this customer? I have no idea.
Frankly, I have not even read the thread and hopefully it all gets worked out.

While it is none your business, Colm has more juice than most of the cats here combined here in this section.
In addition, he does spend at least ten times what the average person spend here.

If you knew what he actually did to get there, his title and what that demanded, you not make such a statement.
Addtionally, you would wise not provoke him, even though he, by personal restraint is controled cool cat.
There are some people (many of them) of his worth, that would not think twice of it, on having their G.C. making your life miserable just for the pleasure of it or just to deal with annoyances.
If you think, the internet in some way shelters you in this regard, precident and rulings would disagree with you.

    Grim Reaper,

I have nothing personal against Colm,in fact some people tell me he is a great guy in most circles.

The point of the post was and will always be his continued and focused attack on a business who has a reputation for outstanding quality,as many f-chat members here in Northern California and in the L.A metroplex utilize Premiers services on a consistant basis.

If Premier put out shoddy work all the time would they have been able to grow into the facility they now occupy?,and get people with cars costing between $200,000 - $1,000,000 plus to work on thier cars. For the many who have done this I am sure they are baffled by the attacks as this is not thier experience.

Colm's own words were documented in GREAT detail by Sam and Wilson with pictures as well to prove a point,so were does this end? today, next week,never.......

As to me hiding behind a computer...... anyone who knows me personally would tell you I tell it like it is good or bad and I am easy to find.

I wish there was some reconciliation between the two parties. However, this particular instance of it has taken place entirely on Rennlist, as you pointed out in your original post. I don't think it is appropriate to migrate a current instance of this old dispute, between two long-time users, back onto Fchat by means of a 3rd party commentary. Any commentary should take place on Rennlist; hence this thread is closed.
