If something falls into your gas tank is that a huge huge problem? I don't want it to become one.

No one thinks there is any chance a piece of aluminum, I think it was circular could get up into the fuel line or engine somehow?

First off, there is a "strainer" in your tank (a larger screen type filter keeping large items out of your fuel system).....or at least there is in most cars. Then you have an inline fuel filter. So it's impossible that it will ever get into the engine and I'm sure the strainer will never let it even get into the fuel lines. It will just sit there ant float around in the tank till the end of time. The worst it could do, is get caught up in the strainer and maybe cause a little clogging, but doubtful.

I was just going to say the same thing. The likely hood of it clogging the filter is slim considering that it little, is slim to none.
