It's amazing that they have so many vehicles available, yet they can't seem to pinch out original photographs of each. I wonder if Jay Ross is their webmaster?
This explains the generic photos: Does the Club own every car on the menu? No. The Club is not like a rental company keeping an inventory of poor quality, used up cars. Instead, in most cases the Club purchases the cars for the members use on an as needed basis. In the never ending quest for quality and service, the Club is constantly buying and selling cars. In fact, many times a car sold and replaced with the exact same model and color, but with lower miles.
That doesn't explain the generic photos. It just tells me they don't have the inventory available to take pix of, or they can't afford to fork out the dosh for a digicam.
It looks like its part of the same outfit that runs Exotics4less. Does anyone here have experience with these folk?
Off topic. I'm doing a nice little poem, but I've got writer's block. What rhymes with consignment and what's a good synonym for rental?
Confinement Assignment Refinement (??) Alignment Lentil Gentle Venal (OK...a bit free-form rhyming, but it fits the Web site) Yentl Continental (I didn't see one for rental)
I'm going out on a limb here. I'll bet this club currently exists as nothing more than the website you just looked at. Some 20 year-old kid hoping some wealthy guy will, for some reason, pay him $250K to borrow a $150K car.
Well you would think, but I found out about the site because I was at the gas station and a man drove up in a Lambo. Of course I asked him questions and he explained that he gets a new car everything month bla bla bla and told me about the site. I was shocked I never heard of it or anyone else for that matter.
Hmmm. OK, since it's not some kid's wet dream, then where's the logic in this? I don't buy into the whole "simplicity" angle. You're paying $200K-plus to join, and then another $20-25K annually to use share cars that you can obviously afford to own outright. In most cases for less. Help me out here, guys. Who's the target member? And by member, I mean "member", not "tool".
