Hey guys, this is a Lotus club event, but as prez I am opening it up to everyone. Sounds like a good time, so please join in! Do let me know if you plan to attend.

Hope to see some of the "regulars"...
    ----------------------------------------------

    Location: Stevens Creek County Park
    Date: Saturday, August 21
    Time: 10-1

What: Come check out the new Elise, and meet the members of Golden Gate Louts
Club and Club111. The number of Elises is still being confirmed, but expect
final details on that a couple days before the even. Drinks will be provided,
but bring your own picnic lunch if you want to eat. There are no plans to BBQ,
but I believe there are grills there if you want to bring your own supplies.

Around 1:00, we'll depart on a short, leisurely drive through the nearby hills.
This will be at a relaxed pace, no racing or extreme driving.

Feel free to show up later, or leave early if you want to skip the drive.

Cost: Sorry, there is a $5 parking fee imposed by the park. See below for
    details.

    Directions:
    >From highway 280, take the Foothill Expressway exit (just west of the
intersection of highway 85). Head west, toward the hills. Stay in the right lane
to continue towards the hills (the left lane will turn).

As the road begins to enter the hills, it'll start getting fun. You'll encounter
a few fun corners, then see a parking lot down the hill to your left. Make your
next left turn into the park.

Your next left turn will be for the parking lot you saw from the road above.
Turn into there, and on your right is the automated ticket machine for your
parking fee. This weekend the machine was out of order. We may get lucky next
weekend, but if not, it's $5. Buy a ticket.

Continue into the park on the same road. Make your next left, just before the
ranger station, and head up the hill.

At the top of the hill look for the gathering. You'll spot it by one of two
means: either I'll have by car by then, in which case look for the Magnetic Blue
Elise, or I won't, in which case, look for green and yellow balloons, if none of
the other Elises have arrived yet. We'll most likely be to the right, but as
there are no reservations, this is not certain.

Sounds fun, I may be there with the 750 if anyone wants to ride in the 'support vehicle' :)

    Hey F, Henry, and Ben,
It was great seeing you all Saturday. It was a blast to see all the Loti (is that right? ;-) at the event, although all eyes were on Henry's beautiful blue Elise. You were so generous to allow me and the others test drive your two-day old car. Thank you for that. BTW, it handles like a dream!

F, it was fun to sit in the passenger seat of my car, while you were putting my NSX through its paces. I'm glad you have a fine appreciation of what the car is about. I'll have to take you up on your offer of driving your Lotus the next time you have it with you.

I'll try to make it to your Karting event Wednesday.

    Thanks again,
    J.
