Sounds good. I would suggest giving a heads up to wherever you plan to stop for lunch so they can handle the crowd.
Agreed. Once we get closer and I have a better head count I will call ahead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think I should be in for this. Should I take one of the Ferraris or the Triumph so I can hang with Sam?
Just went to Lobster Roll's website and they reopen for the season on May 2 which is perfect for us on May 3! I was thinking Townline BBQ in Sagaponack as an alternate but parking is always a challenge there with such a small lot. As we get closer, I will get a true headcount and call ahead to see if they can reserve a few tables. I will be out there this weekend, possibly with my Fcar, and take a few pics of the restaurant/parking lot so everybody can check out where we would eat lunch.
Here is a pic of the Lobster Roll. I didn't get a chance to go there this weekend so just downloaded it. There is parking that surrounds the entire restaurant so there won't be an issue. Hmmmmmm....forgot that many hotels in Montauk require a two night minimum. Maybe the Montauk Manor can make an exception? Otherwise there are plenty of places to stay west of Montauk. Try the Huntting Inn in East Hampton. I heard they do one night stays. Hamptons Bed and Breakfasts: Huntting Inn: East Hampton B & B Bed and Breakfast
Ok I am all set for this. ANyone else coming from NJ who wants to meet up for the ride, let me know. Looking forward to it. Now if only the weather....
I went on trip advisor and called the 3rd ranked place on there, Hartmans Britney Breezes Motel. Probably just a place to sleep.
Please give me some names of some others and Ill try them. I dont think I have paid for it yet. The one night thing is the issue at the nicer spots.
Unfortunately, I was just informed that an annual event that I participate in, in memory of a friend of mine's daughter, is scheduled for that Saturday. I haven't missed one in 10 years, to say that I can't make it to go to a drive/and lunch is just not right. Hopefully the next time!!! Enjoy and be safe!!!
Hartman's Briney Breezes is right on scenic Old Montauk Hwy. I'm sure it's fine and has some good ratings from what I can see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
