What happened around here? I use to live for Off Topic. It just about puts me to sleep now! Are juicy threads being started and 'Mod-Whacked' while I am sleeping?

I was thinking the same thing. I guess the best answer would be "OT-Fatigue". Before, people would roll with the threads. Nowadays, it seems everything is offensive to somebody out there, and in a way, FC has become PC. I think there are fewer Chatters willing to post potentially "interesting" topics knowing that there so many more buzzards circling, waiting to swoop down and peck out their eyes. Plus, with so many specialized topics now, everything has become a little more watered down. Kind of like the NHL.

I think most of the "old guard" have run out of new stuff to post, and I also think the huge number of specialized forums has limited what needs to be posted in here.

That be the one. You can take your side, players or owners, but to me it's sad because those in charge of the league (Bettman, owners) have been derelict in their duty. I see it as their responsibility to keep the league in good health for the next generation. And while they would argue "You're absolutely right! That's why we need the hard cap!", in reality they're where they are out of greed, overexpansion, etc. But this isn't the thread for that...
