Hi, I have a problem with my Sony F20 CD player, skipping discs or songs. I contacted Sony and they don't repair anything that old, so I am seeking recommendations of someone who repairs these, please. Bill
may be just buy one? I have one (don't know what model, got to check) in my trunk that's unplugged...... I've put in a bluetooth module instead.
It's worth a try to clean the lens on the laser head. You can purchase a laser lens cleaner disc at Best Buy or some other electronics shop. It worked for me on a few home players.

I tried the CD cleaner disc today and it made a major improvement. It isn't perfect yet, still stopped at the middle of the 9th track, but that is much further than it had gone before. Will try it again in a couple of days. thanks for the help.
