I am actively staying away from the PSP, because I do not need a PORTABLE Gran Turismo that can make me ignore my job like GT4 makes me ignore my family ;)

this is why I'm worried about the PSP.
    - if I get it, I can leave the house and play Gran Turismo!
    - if I get it, will I need to plug in a wheel, or can I plug it into the dash of my S2000 and use my own wheel & pedals?
    - if I get it, will I ever notice anyone else before me, even if it is a stripper trying to get 20 for a lap dance? oh wait... nevermind, I'm not that addicted.

What's Game Rush? A Blockbuster owned franchise in Australia? or other parts of the US? Or is that the nickname for the video game area inside a Blockbuster store?

Almost 500 of the 4800 domestic BB stores nationwide are Game Rush stores - not a nickname, a unique full-size game store within a BB store....carries the widest assortment of triple A game titles and specialty accessories in addition to the run of the mill stuff. Also offers trading programs for software, accessories and hardware. We also own a similar concept in the UK called Gamestation.

Not really. I just crack a big whip. :)

I'd say too early to tell...wait to see what the sell-thru volume is for the first few months. Pretty steep price point for a handheld. If you decide to pull the trigger, speed to market will be critical for holiday. Pretty steep price point for a handheld.

I wont be getting the PSP when it first releases...new models tend to have defects with it...such as the sensitive screen and the media cover, it tends to get loose at time...Hopefully, I'll get one a few months after it comes out.

game rush@BLOCKBUSTER ANNOUNCES PRE-SALE AVAILABILITY OF SONY’S FIRST HANDHELD GAMING DEVICE

PSP, Exclusive AKAI iSound Speakers and Hottest PSP Games
Found At Game Rush Stores on March 24

DALLAS (March 16, 2005) – There’s a new face in handheld games on March 24, when Sony Computer Entertainment America’s PSP™ (PlayStation® Portable) gaming device launches in North America. No other retailer is debuting this hot new video game system like Game Rush with exclusives like the all-black portable accessory to enhance the PSP experience, the AKAI PSP iSound speakers. Plus, Game Rush still has product availability for customers who want to be among the first to reserve the handheld through a pre-sale order.

All 450 Game Rush stores will stock the PSP, five accompanying PSP portable accessories, and all of the new PSP game titles available at launch giving gamers the ultimate handheld experience. They can even get the new system for less when they trade in their old games.

“At Game Rush, we understand that today’s gamers want the most in-demand console hardware, accessories and the largest breadth of game titles at the most competitive prices,” said Tim Sifford, vice president of retail games, Blockbuster/Game Rush. “Game Rush is one of the only retailers that still has pre-sale availability for PSP. This new product line debut -- Sony’s PSP handheld, all launch games, our mix of quality accessories and the exclusive iSound Speakers -- is just one of many reasons gamers should come to Game Rush all year long.”

Aside from carrying the PSP game console, Game Rush stores will rent and sell, as well as promise the best trade-in value for the hottest PSP titles available, including Sony’s “Wipeout Pure” and “Twisted Metal Head On,” EA’s “Need for Speed Underground Rivals,” Namco’s “Ridge Racer,” and Konami’s “Metal Gear Acid.”

“Not only are we stocking every desirable PSP title at launch, but Game Rush is committed to stocking the hottest games when they release. And, to make them available in any way the gamer wants them – rent, buy or trade,” said Sifford.

The PSP is available for $249.99. Among the many PSP accessories available at Game Rush, the AKAI PSP iSound speakers are cast in a shiny black color mix similar to the look of PSP and will be exclusively sold at Game Rush store locations while supplies last. These custom speakers feature a sleek design, fold into an easily portable accessory, and is the best sound system for the PSP hardware with bass boost and surround sound options.

Other PSP accessories now available are the Pelican Face Armor ($9.99), a protective covering to shield the PSP screen against damages and smudges; the Pelican Headbanger Head Subs $29.99, premium headphones that offer excellent audio and bass performance; the Pelican USB cable ($6.99), essential for transferring data from PCs to the PSP; the Sandisk Official PSP memory cards, available in 128MB and 256MB ($39.99 and $49.99 respectively), necessary for handling wi-fi game play and storing game files, music and video.

If you guys like gaming, PSP is the ****! My friend bought the Japanese version 2 months ago and I played it. It's awesome. Great graffics, great size, makes the nintendo DS look like a Yugo compared to an Fcar.
    A must buy

Does anyone know if has an Video/audio output to connect it to AUX on a TV? It'd be sweet if I could get it and connect it to my cars' tv or my big screen tv.
