I recently noticed the following soot like (black carbon) droplets on the garage floor. They seem to be located around the mid-section of the car. Pretty much between the front wheels and the rear wheels, centered and with more droplet prominence towards the rear.

Anyone have any idea what it might be or have experienced the same?

It kind of reminds me of the old days of Ziebart anti-corrosion drips from heat.

    Thanks.

There are many past threads addressing this. The theory is that there is incomplete combustion when the engine is cool as the computer feeds a rich mixture to the cylinders. The by products of incomplete combustion (soot) leak out of exhaust vents.
