Wow sounds great Brian, are those your new wheels? Ryan Hawkins was telling me about them, can't really see them but they got a nice lip on them.

Nice...I was looking at the VR 03 -- it looks exactly like the one that Vellano wheels sells. Are they made by the same company?

Do you have any pics of those on a F430 spider/ coupe?

The one I put on sounds just like that in person. Next the 360 with a tubi on it thats in the shop at the same time there is no comparision in sound.
    Big thumbs up to Larini

NOOOO Vellano is a totally different company, def. not made in the same factory. We carry Vellano, and I can tell you the Vellano you're thinking of (Vellano VSH) look VERY different in person. Pics on a F430? no not at the moment, however if you send me an e-mail at [email protected] I will see what I can do to accomodate you.

    Hi, KingsPower / Ferrari-Tech

So what you meant was the Larini cats sounded very good in your 360 , right? How about the Power increment on the dyno run?

I plan to upgrade the OEM Cats to Larini or HyperFlow Cats on my 2002-360-manual which already has the Tubi Exhaust installed.

I need some input from you to make a decision.

I second the request for dyno results as I'm in the process of making a decision between Fabspeed, Larini and Hyperflow for my CS. To my knowledge, there is only ONE dyno chart available -- cited widely by everyone -- showing gains in HP/TQ for a Hyperflow cat on a CS. I'm not aware of any for a Ferrari by Fabspeed or Larini -- indeed their promos often piggyback on the Hyperflow CS experience. I repeat, only ONE dyno on one CS for three companies selling $3K sports cats. Butt dynos from several folks say the sports cats do make a difference, whereas almost all say the exhaust sound/resonance is deeper, richer. I'd be happy to be proven wrong via references to other dynos of sports cats on ferrari's.

All I can say is that Hyperflow cats with either K&N or BMC air filters are more than worth the money one year later on a CS

I have yet to put on Larini cat, only done the exhaust. I believe the power hike with the exhaust alone is in the 10-15hp range, with cats i would expect a lot more, I will contact Larini and get an answer from them.
I have installed Hyper-flows on a F430 and you can feel a huge difference in power every where. I would expect the Larini to be the same if not better.
One nice thing about the Larini exhaust and cats is the come with heat shields installed. Heat build up in the engine compartment of 360/430's is a major sourse of power loss.

I've been researching and contemplating doing cats as well...I'm a bit concerned about how much louder the car may get, but reports from owners suggest it's really not significantly louder and in fact increases the quality of the sound nicely.

Moreover, these same owners all reported a snappier throttle response, quicker acceleration and what seemed like a much quicker car. I've spoken with too many happy owners reporting the same results; it's gotta be true! :)

Still, a dyno-test would be interesting.....and a before/after sound clip would be superb as well!

Oh great.....and once again Chris tries to apply his "condom" approach to real-life situations! ;)

I'm gonna enjoy the car with it's new exhaust for a few months and then, provided it's not too loud as is, make the move.

We measured the stock exhaust and the Larini WITHOUT high flow cats on our dyno here in house, back to back same day for consistant results.

    Test conditions:
    SAE correction factor 0.96
    69.52 F degrees
    32% humidity
    30.16hg baro

    Baseline run: 331.08 /248.10tq
    Larini sports exhaust: 339.85 /251.24tq

Not exactly spectacular, but it did gain power through the powerband.

Thanks Folks for the information, I think I am going for the Larini Cats; My 360 is now in storage; therefore I will order them directly from Larini UK in March and will get Ferrari Ontario to installed them for me. They said it cost around 1K CAD for installation. Will keep you all posted.

Sometime in the next few weeks when I get some time, I will be testing the Larini sports exhaust together with some G-Cats (our own in house brand highflow cats) on my car, and will post the results, I will keep you all informed.

    Chech your math, 5hrs x $125= $625.
$1000.00 divided by 5 is $200 per hour(crap i'm under charging). I think you might want to get another price from them before you let them loose !!

Thanks for your suggestion but I just double checked my previous maintenance bill; yes , it was charged CAN125 labor hour. If they told me 5 hours to install the 2 cats then the charge should 625 + 14% taxes. However, I surely will ask them the final price before letting them do it.

    Hi Guys,
I'm no veteran but I got a pair of "Maccarbon " fibre air intake boxes for the 360 spider. They are all smooth inside. Its got to help airflow. I put them on myself in about 30 mins . Together with the Tubi exhaust ,I think she runs smoother and sounds great. I think they do the engine some justice in the looks dept. too. When I work out how to attach a pictue , I will.
