    If you mean temperature hot, I'm right there with you. Cold soup just doesn't sound good to me.

    If you mean spicy. I'm all for it if I'm in the mood.

    In general, yes. But I also have a soft spot for cold vichyssoise.

    Not me, I like my soup warm. Since I was a kid. Even today I'll make chicken noodle soup and let it sit on the stove to let it cool down down.

    I also throw an ice cube in a bowl of soup.

    I'm with you.

    Above a certain temperature, your tongue greatly loses its ability to taste subtle flavors. Not far above that temp, you start to scald your tongue & lose most sense of taste.

    Have a friend who always wants her soups HOT - to the point of sending them back to be reheated in restaurants a great majority of the time. My guess? She has probably consumed more saliva or other bodily fluids from irritated servers or cooks than anyone else I know.

    ^ totally agree. thats why i just eat it warm. but, both times it was at two different nice restaurants and with lobster bisque soup. i asked how they would reheat it and they said with a microwave. yuck.
