    Hi All,

This is my second round at locating a set of unique wheels for my 1991 348 TB.

For my first choice see the thread: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22229&page=2&pp=20&highlight=iding

Unfortunately the iDing wheels discussed at length in the aforementioned thread are out of production at this time. Perhaps I will run across a set sometime in the future.

For my second choice I would like to locate a set of the Ferrari 348 GT Competizione wheels. They look like some Speedline wheels I have seen on any number of cars, perhaps they were produced by Speedline back in the 1990s, but note careful reader, the difference – the wheels I wish to acquire have a raised section on each side of the five spokes. I have attached an illustration to this post.

My question to you all is: Do you know of any retailers / individuals selling these wheels here in the USA?

I have found “Eurospares” in the UK who list the wheels. See: http://www.usedferraris.net/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1038

Also – found on this American web site for slightly more expensive price: http://www.ferraripartsexchange.com/wheels.htm

Thank you for any help you may provide.

The only source i found selling them is ferraripartsexchange - they are expensive but then again ..... it's probably more if you go to the UK dealer.

As an alternative, i went with Kinesis. The are light weight, durable, your choice of size, and competiton proven http://www.kinesismotorsport.com/

HRE are nice too, but VERY $$$$.

Although I don't have any sources for the stock Competizione wheels, speedline does make a few more styles (aside from what you already listed) that are somewhat similar to the Competizione. If none of these catch your eye, try seaching prior threads. I know there are literally dozens of aftermarket wheels still available for the 348/355 line.

92_348: The first set of speedlines that you show look very similar - do you have a link to the web site where you found the pic - or a larger pic - I have been to Speedline's web site in the UK and did not see those wheels.

All - I have searched and captured signifigant number of pics from 348 threads showing different wheels on 348s.

    I'll start posting them.

Bottom line: IMHO the iDings and the Competizione Wheels are a signifigant upgrade for the 348 - next version are 355 wheels or the 512TR wheels - an altogether less expensive option. Approx $2500-$3500 vs at least $5000 for the Competizione Wheels.

All three Speedlines I posted came from www.garedcars.com out of Georgia here in the U.S.

They didn't specify, but a good majority of the Speedline wheels can be custom sized to fit any Ferrari application.

Also, I really liked the IDING wheels as well and almost picked up a set for my car approximately one year ago. Even though they are no longer in production, I still see used ones come up for sale every now and again on various exotic car sites and ebay.

    Good luck.

I have four, two front and two rear, brand new competizione wheels. They are OZ manufacture and were purchased from Michellotto new in 1997. They are still in the box and never been used. These are center locking wheels for the real deal, a race 348. Send me a pm and and I will cut you a great deal!!!

Hey all - here is a web page of 348s with aftermarket wheels

    http://mysite.verizon.net/macp0004/348wheels.htm

92_348ts - That is wicked good news that you see the iDings come up on eBay etc.

I have been watching for only 3 or 4 months but have never seen a set for sale.

Let me know if you find a set.

Try here as well - www.evosport.com/product/wheels/wheels_ferrari.html - there is one wheel listed in Hamann that works for the 355 so will also suit the 348, and all the way down past the HREs is SAC that has a Champion Motorsport type (like on my car - see profile) and also the Challenge wheel look.

I love the Competizione wheels myself - esp. with the 10.5" rears as I am running 295s on my 10" rears and would like that extra width. But they are pricey...

Keep us posted on how you go - never did like the stock wheels so was glad I got the ones on my car with it. Good link to all of those 348s.

    Cheers
    Kevin

    Andy,

Are you looking for the 348/355 comp wheel like DM18 posted? I have those if you want. That is the only USA challenge wheel for the 348/355. In italian competizione? It came black or white.
