Im looking for an aftermarket source for Ferrari Part 70000573 which is the Early Release clutch bearing. Cant really find a source for them online and really dont want to go with a used one on Ebay or something..

Anyone have any ideas to where I could find one?

I don't understand why you have to buy a used one. There are new ones on sale right now on ebay. Also superformance has an early bearing listed on their site.

+1 for the Hill Engineering throwout bearing.

The stock Ferrari throwouts are notorious for blowing out the casting.

Lol.. I realized my error with the part number. It is now 155226 I believe. Pardon my ignorance Daniel but I did look at that link you posted, but that is for a 355 w/6speed gearbox. Would that work on my 1994 348?

Not all F versions blows out the sides, the one I had originally and the replacement from F I have just bought are cast not tinware (the bearing surround section).

Hill version is undoubtedly better, but unless you have 86mm between centres flange for it to sit with you will have to also buy the Hill flange, so the parts price just doubles.

Don't be daft! Just pony up the funds for the Hill stuff.

"Hi I'm Dave and I am selling my car. I just did the major and took great pains to find and install the inferior original Ferrari bearing."

Or would you rather, "I just did the major and upgraded the bearing with the vastly superior Hill Engineering replacement parts."

You will be much happier knowing that the best parts out there are behind you.

Whilst I can see what you are saying, I'm not selling (son will have it when I choose, plus I'm not changing out the bearing as 'part of a major', so the double cost is not justifiable for this task alone.

Yes I am going to do that.. (Daniel I haven't forgotten about you from our conversation). And I would want a good part just simply because it is a good part. I got the car to drive and enjoy, not be a garage queen and look pretty under a car cover.

I saw it somewhere on here that someone posted "Not driving your Ferrari so your resale value doesn't go down is like not having sex with your hot girlfriend just to make her more desirable to her next boyfriend"

Hell no.. I plan on keeping the car and riding her till she drops!

That would be the signature of Napolis. Speaking of, has anybody heard from Jimmy lately?
