I finally dug into my steering wheel to figure out why my horn doesn't work on the '78 308. The car has a fairly new Momo wheel installed, with a Momo hub and Momo horn button with Prancing Horse on it. The circuit works fine (horn works when the hot lead is touched to the metal in the hub). The button itself is defective, not making internal contact or sticking and causing the horn to blow continuously.

Anyone know a good source for a replacement Momo horn button?

You cannot buy the Momo button with the prancing horse on it anymore. You could get a new standard Momo button, take both apart and swap the prancing horse center part onto the rest of the new button.

Ferrari horn buttons are still advertised by the usual independant Ferrari parts suppliers, I would call around (probably new, "old stock"). Saw them recently on Ferrari Parts Exchange. Just remember there are a two or three different styles. Make sure you get the one that matches yours.

I see them come-up pretty frequently on eBay, NIB.

Right. Early 308 have the silver ring around the button. Then there's the version without the silver ring and finally the version with the horn symbol.

Funny, mine has the silver ring in the back, but also has a horn symbol on the front rim. Interesting.

Has anyone had success opening up one of these buttons and repairing them? Just wondering if it's worth the effort.
