Just thought I would share a source I found for urethane steering rack mount bushings.
I know there have been previous threads regarding this but no one ever seems to come up with a legitimate source. It has been established that the rear sway bar end link lower bushings from a 328 are the same part but made from stiffer rubber. Some people use those. The original rack bushings are those soft pinkish colored ones that explode if they sit in contact with oil at all.
Others have also machined these bushings out of various plastics or metals and have even provided diagrams and specifications. To each his own.
My purpose here is just to point to a source for urethane bushings for those that want them. I just received mine and they are very, very stiff. The kit is sold for sway bar end links so you actually need two kits to do the steering rack job. They are super high quality but a bit spendy at $42.99 average price per kit depending on where you source them from.
Apparently they also fit something on a Honda CRV two wheel drive and 4 wheel drive from 2002 to 2006.
Anyway, the brand is SuperPro & the part number is SPF2164K Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
