I would like to find a source (other then Ebay) for running gear, suspension, and brakes for the 365-412 2+2's. As well as a few interior items, I have an engine, but don't want to use a 928 torque tube and transaxle. I would rather keep it all Ferrari.

AND, what are the odds on finding a set of exhaust cam cover/intake manifolds for carbs. At a price that won't make me faint?

Only know of one guy who has some 400's which he is parting out. Fred Petroske at Mostly British, his number is 315 649 2861. Don't know for sure if he can help but might be worth a call. Good Luck

Fred has several 400's of various years and maybe a 365. His barn is full of parts. I picked up a part from him this past January (yeah, great place to visit in Jan!) and he showed me his various part cars and one coming together 400 or 412 plus an attic full of 400 parts. Don't let his business name deceive you.

Also you could try Eurospares in the UK. Not really cheap though, but they always are parting out several 2+2s

Thanks for the replies, I'll be sending out emails tomorrow for the first round of parts. As far as what's cooking, well, one tube framed, steel bodied project, not a copy of anything, just styled after several Pininifarina designs of the early sixties. similar to the Alfa powered spider's I've done in the past. but this one is with Ferrari running gear, but it is not badged as a Ferrari and it is already sold.

Also I picked up an incomplete CalSpider (Ferris Bueller) kit for a really low price, thought I might do it with Ferrari running gear, as a coupe. But at this point I am just going to build it as a Cal Spider with 400 running gear and badged as a Ferrari, for sale when complete.

After that it is back to building frames and bending sheet metal and building another project form a clean sheet of paper. I might not be Carrozzeria Fantuzzi, but I didn't realize that this kind of work was as little respected as bonding fiberglass panels to a 240Z and calling it a GTO.

And I am still working on my Ferrari powered track car. Back burner, you know how that goes. when these projects are done I switch to Maserati power.
