In the rear corner? I’m pretty sure there are no nearby hoses. It looks like you were washing it—a previously unnoticed leak from the lid seems most likely. Or the side marker light— assuming it’s a US car.

I had a leak from trunk lid Ferrari lettering, and from tail light seals. I recommend to check these. Put some paper on suspected leak locations before you wash the car and see if it gets wet.

Also take out the trunk lining, foam and all other insulation. There may be some rust to be found if the leak has been there for unknown time. Don't ask me why I know this.

Yes, it's a US car with side markers. But it's been dry. So I'm inclined to doubt an external source.

Thanks! Yes, it doesn't take much moisture for that delicate Italian steel to corrode! That's why I'm investigating this!
I did have body work done recently, in May: they replaced the rear bumper and had removed the taillights and the chrome horse from the rear panel. But the moisture appeared more recently, after a drive in bright sunshine. A mystery.

Trunk gasket worn in the corner where the water is coming in? Maybe add a little clear RTV sealant?

Those trunk hinges rust up inside, causing enough resistance to crack the sheet metal around them. Mine had a hairline crack near the left side hinge, allowing water to pool in the lower left corner of the trunk.
SOLUTION: fix the hinge first . Drill a small hole in the hinge (center) and pump oil into it. Work the lid up and down until easy-peezy movement.
NEXT: fix the crack. I used a little hardening goop out of a tube, painted when dry. NO MORE WATER IN THE TRUNK, 4 years now.
