    Hi Folks,

My MAF threw an error 1111 today. I tried all the usual things, including moving it to the other bank and it seems my maf may be dead. Code shows up immediately, as if the MAF isn't even plugged in. I swabbed the connectors with stabilant etc...

Anyway, anyone have a good source for the bosch maf without the ferrari tax ?
I found one original bosch 0280212018 online in a far flung land but can get it here for a just over $300 delivered.

I did some searching and turned out the saab connection, but it seems most saab folks are selling the version without the pot to twiddle to 383ohm.

Anyone have any good sources for these parts ?

    Many thanks my fellow 348'ers.

Just have it rebuilt by Python Injection. It will run you around $150 to $175 give or take. They do nice work and a fast turn around time. ;)

Thanks for the pointer to python injection.

I think I'll give those guys a shot. For the one I found online it's some swedish company that claims to have it in stock for 1500 SEK plus about 850 SEK shipping UPS.

They show the picture of the Bosch part, but who knows what will ship. Also, they are all on vacation until the end of the month and no orders will ship.

I'm highly suspicious of them and would like to contact them directly before I ordered, to be sure it's a real bosch part with the pot to dial in the mixture. I'll hold fire on that until they are back in the office.

Anyway, in the meantime I'll check with Python about getting mine reconditioned.

    :)

I've tried contacting Phyton all week.
Several emails, 'contact us' from the www site and even called in and left a VM.

Heard nothing back all week so far.

Either they are out of business or just don't care. :)

Oh well, on with my search, python may well be DOA.

If that is the case then that is a shame because they were a great resource.

I just picked up the phone and called them. They answered on the second ring. So maybe either they are backed up on emails or there was another issue. I called the main number:
    714-828-1406

I told them that there were people trying to contact them without success. I was told that the best time to call was in the morning after 8 am. I do know that it is a fairly small operation. So try them again. They do great work. ;)

I managed to get a hold of Virgil now.
He's going to R&R the part for $154

I guess they are just super busy at the moment.

Anyway, things are looking good now.

I talked to them at one point about looking into the possibility of rebuilding the exhaust ecu's on our 348/355's. They said if I sent one to them, they would see if it was possible. That would be nice. But I got busy and forgot to send it to them. This thread reminded me to put that back on my todo list. :D
