    Hi all,

I'm rebuilding the anti-roll bar (was a bit rusty and grubby) and need four new rubber bushes that go on the ends of the bar into the aluminium vertical links. Superformance ones are simply the wrong size (unless they sent me the wrong ones) - too large, long and the hole is too big. Eurospares are £15 each - too expensive for a bit of rubber.

What are the alternatives ? any general stockists of this kind of rubber cone.

    thanks

I bought mine from Superformance (front and rear) and they fitted just fine. As I recall, the fronts were different from the rears, so perhaps you did receive the wrong ones.

Doh, yes I checked and they were obviously fronts - thanks for the heads up.

I'll give them a call on Monday to get the rears and hey now I might as well replace the fronts too as I have them. I always like to dismantle areas like them to give things like sleeves and threads some grease - it seems that many PO's don't anticipate having to undo stuff in the future when they rebuild things.

The main roll bar bushing looks ok for now, although the ones pressed into the aluminium are looking a little tired - may as well do the lot.

    thanks

Lee does your GT4 still have the original rear anti-roll bar?You might want to upgrade it to a bigger size. From memory the original one is 12mm.I replaced mine to 19mm which is similar to the GTB and it made a differnce

Yes it is the original size - I hadn't planned to upgrade as I guess maintenance costs are a priority. My wish list includes ignition which is probably higher up the list than things like brakes and suspension. The car is mostly driven round town so engine reliability is more important at the moment and I have two other classics that consume my car fund :)

Got an email from Colin @ superformace today. Apparently they have a new guy in the stock room. So, there have been some problems with a few orders lately... I am awaiting a few bushes that weren't in my recent order as well! As I said earlier, though, Colin is very helpful. I expect to have this sorted out in no time!

I called and agree that there were some issues with his knowledge and mine - I'm sure he'll learn quickly enough. Anyway all sorted and the new ones are enroute.
