We are proud to announce the inaugural South Beach Classic taking place in South Florida October 12-16. This event is playing host to the Ferrari Club Racing Association Round 5.

There will be 2 track days at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Dinners organized at some of the best restaurants in Miami Beach. And a great host hotel, the Ritz-Carlton South Beach. Not only will you have a blast on the track but also off it!

The concept for this event was to have everyone who competes in the FCRA to have great social gatherings off the track at some of the best places in the area (this is open to non-FCRA members as well). To give you an idea, so far we have finalized Red Steakhouse one night and Casa Tua for the final night.

We hope everyone can make it, as it will be something you won’t want to miss! Check the website often, as updates will be posted as they are available. And be sure to register ASAP as dinners are unfortunately limited in size..

To register, please go to: http://southbeach-classic.com/register.html

For any questions feel free to email me at: [email protected]

Just a quick update on the event:

The current list for the dinners for the FCRA Rd. 5 weekend are in the process of being finalized. As of now they will take place at these fantastic restaurants on Miami Beach; Thursday night will be at a restaurant called Bistro 555, Friday night at Red Steakhouse, and Saturday night at Casa Tua. All of these great dinners and a welcome cocktail reception are included in the dinner package. For those not familiar with these restaurants I encourage you to look them up…these are some of the best on the beach!

The host hotel, the Ritz-Carlton South Beach, has informed me that rooms are starting to be taken. For those that are planning on attending and are planning on staying at this hotel at the group rates ($279 per night for the 4 nights) please be sure to contact the hotel and book your room so you can secure a reservation.

To reserve your room, you can contact the hotel at:
-(305) 671-2609 or (800) 241-3333, mention group code "South Beach Classic" and dates of Oct. 12-16

If you have not yet registered for the event, please go to the following link to get the registration form: http://southbeach-classic.com/register.html

Very excited about Homestead and to be part of Charlie Jr.'s inaugural South Beach Classic.

If your contemplating going don't miss it. The parties are going to be fantastic, we expect a grid of 30 plus cars in the race and there is a chance the 430 and 360 class championships could be clinched at this race!

Possible to reserve a garage at the track? My small, impoverished team cannot afford an EZ Up.

There is lots of garage space at Homestead. I would try to get there early and you shouldn't have a problem.

Look out because there may be six (6) New Orleans boys who are coming to R5 at Homestead with Ferrari Challenge cars. Charlie Jr. is throwing some good parties in South Beach, and in Nola we don't miss good parties. And we may have an advantage bc we are trained to drive with hangovers.

It looks like we will have about 30 cars or more on the grid for the inaugural SBC.

Congrats to "Godfather Jr." for this. The parties are going to be fantastic.

If you have not registered yet, you don't want to miss the event. Racing with a field of 30 some odd Ferraris is quite an experience!!!

Is it possible to attend the dinners/parties if you are a mere mortal and not an FCRA driver?

    Hey Mark,
You are right I won some races mostly when you had mechanical issues...
Since you are going to smoke all of us on that track I have a suggestion you go around using the infield turns 10 thru 14 when the rest of us will go around using Nascar 3 & 4 !
    Fair enough?
Looking forward to see you soon again, that event is going to be a lot of fun!

Not enough banking thru 3 and 4 to go flat and too risky to race in those banks with our Italian friends...
We will run the banks at Daytona (No issue there beside a little bump draft!)
