This will be my final post on F-Chat as I am no longer needed here, and it is pointless to argue with someone who continually knows nothing about what he is talking about.

This event on my end is absolutely out of the love for cars. I will not make a penny off of it, and I am sure that Alex is not going to either due to the costs involved in putting this event together. We do it out of the love for cars. Irregardless of if he does or doesn't make money off of it, if that bothers you, which it obviously does, don't attend. Why make a 19 page argument out of it. Why does it matter that much to you. You can believe what you want to believe, or take it any way you like, but that is the truth.

As you can see from our list, there are NO Lotus Elise's on it. Simply Esprit's. Not saying that if an Elise driver wanted to come he, or she couldn't, however, we only have 7 or 8 Esprit's going, so again you are misinformed. I, and everyone else from what it seems, could care less which car is more exotic than the other. We all liked the NSX's at our Last event and the owners, as well as the BMW's, etc. If you were at our last event you would have seen the amount of cars that had to park away from the Rick Case Building, and in the middle of the street due to the amount of cars. The 2 people who keep arguing about it DID NOT attend. We eliminated several cars from our allowable list due to this to ensure the Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, and other Exotics, had enough space to park for the first part of the event. That is the truth, and believe whatever you want.

Again the post I made on LP was solely directed at you, meaning this clown making fun of an event we are putting on for his members, and the others that we have attending.

FYI...Again talking about something which you know absolutely nothing about. We can't post this on LP due to the fact that the event is held at Rick Case Luxe. They are under the impression that it MAY sway some members away from the board sponsors when it comes to buying cars. The only reason why we chose that locale is it is centrally located and easy to find.

Fair enough. Your car definitely felt really fast on the ride along. The Lotus was really fast, and surprisingly smooth at those fast speeds. Is your exhaust stock? It sounded really good also! I would time a few laps for you guys with the new SSF watch that just came in yesterday the next time we are out there.

NOT TRUE, the reason why the event is not posted on LP's board is because of the mentioning of Luxe Collection and that is a conflict with many of the dealer sponsors. Even with the last event, we chose to have the topic on both boards (LP & F-chat) in order to bring the two exotic communities closer together. And with the last event it has proven to be very effective.
Remember this has never been done before in South Florida and unless you want to (Cavalino Fred) organize one of these events on your own, then let us have a wonderful (Bulls & Horses) get together.

 

Hmm ----anybody bringing a Lotus Cortina?

Bill- Freds car had aftermarket wheels and he said he had crappy tires on it, so it wasnt getting the full grip. However, his car has the sport suspension on it which lowers the car slightly and has different shocks and springs.

I think the guy who had the grey Elise had the sport suspension with the special tires that are much grippier. I have the standard suspension and tires so my 0-60 is about 4.9 as compared to 4.7 with the stickier tires, and my grip is about .95g and the sport suspension and tires are about 1.1g

Guess the guy with the other red Elise must have had the standard suspension and aftermarket tires on it that werent as grippy, since I went around the area where he went off the road and almost lost it too, but was able to keep the car on the pavement.

I have a yearly event in Palm Beach Gardens that is open to any sports car enthusiasts. Peter2 was the only Lamborghini this year, but we have had about thirty cars each year. Car show, food, and drink at no expense to any participant. Last year a group went out to Moroso (about 15 minutes away) afterwards for a karting race. I think regarding this Naples drive, Martin was just a little torqued up about the drive excluding certain cars, and questioning the reasoning for what justifies one car marque over another. It is your event you can do whatever you want with it. Most people have thick enough skin that they are not offended to not be invited, there is plenty to do here anyways. Personally I have the most fun driving my cheap British car quickly around alot of curves even though the Ferrari is a faster car. As Kip says, Peace out!

So you broadly assumed that here on FerrariChat sponsors do not have the same rights as on LP? I believe there are several sponsors on LP that are sponsors here as well. Why would you not even check with the administrator if it would be OK for you to post this event if you had already received a negative reception in LP ? Or was it simply you did not care. At least if FC shut you down you had something to complain about in LP howmuch Ferrari owners are "***s".

Yeah, I was declared the winner and got the watch inthe mail yesterday. I think if we go back out there to drive around I might take the Ferrari next time. I will definitely be driving it to the dinner this Thursday (with Lisa as the passenger). I have some plans this weekend, butmaybe the next weekend we can go for a drive.
