For those interested in the upcoming Cincy/Dayton Ferrari-Lamborghini drive out: here are some preliminary details for the next drive out coming up Saturday July 29th!

If you are interested pop me an e-mail to be included on the distribution list and we will send out the specifics shortly!

This e-mail went out to our current event attendees in the area today.

    Hello Everyone,

It has been much to long for a large Cincy/Dayton Ferrari-Lamborghini get together. Doctor Robert and I ran into each other this weekend and he has put together a great idea.

He has mapped out a very nice 28 mile drive of beautiful paved road with nice twisties (not a speed course - just a nice drive) - Just South of Dayton in the Caesars Creek area.

Here is what we are thinking - Saturday July 29th from 10am - ~1pm (including lunch). We can meet at Roberts Place, do the nice track he has plotted and then hit a lunch and depart from there. For those driving from Cincy we can meet at my place (or just meet at Roberts up north - depending on where you are coming from).

Let's spread the word on this drive out - we have about 25 days to get the final count of people and details. I will have Robert send out specifics and confirm everything with directions, etc the week or so before.

Bob M- can you send off to your distribution as well - lets try to get a really nice group on this - the course/roads that Robert mapped out are very scenic and will surely be a great drive for all. Navigators and guests are welcome as always!

Please let me know if you are interested and available for the drive out that weekend and we will get the final details out in a few weeks!

    Thanks,
    Rich

Ok, final map, directions and mileages went to print today. The course is roughly 33 miles. Ran it again today and it is certainly a nice drive with many challenging turns and elevation changes. For those of you who wish to attend please respond to Rich's e-mail so we can get a relatively accurate count. Lunch will be at Paolo's Italian Cafe in Waynesville, Oh.

Ok, made some changes and extended the course so now is around 48 miles.
I need to run the addition again tomorrow to double check mileages. Additional 10 miles of big twisties, tough to handle even at 25mph. Very scenic route and I am sure all will enjoy. All roads are clean of debri/stone.

I made some further revisions to the run. It is 59.62 miles in length. The roads are very senic and fun to drive. I would suggest that you bring a navigator so the driver can concentrate on the roads, they will reqiure your full attention. There are many turns and elevation changes to test your skill. Please respond to Rich, so we can get a total count and so that I can let Paolo's Italian Cafe know our total number.

I would highly encourage all participants of any driving event to obey all applicable driving laws not only for your safety but for the safety of others. About 70% of the drive is on unmarked country roads. We will spend a great deal of time exercising 2nd and 3rd gear as there is a large number of turns and blind corners. Rich and I would like to turn this into an annual event and possible benefit a local charity in the future. I have put a great deal of time into structuring a highly memorable drive and have already put together a road course for the western side of Dayton closer to the Richmond, In. border for a later date. Personally, I like to drive my cars not look at them and these runs on these particular roads I have been doing solo for years. So, it will be a great drive, your car can be professionally photographed and we'll have a nice lunch at Paolo's.

Mine is still not here, I did get a 6 speed, which could be one part of the delay - I believe all e-gears have made it over (I haven't heard or seen a 6 speed yet) - but I think about 80 - 90% being ordered/made are e-gear.
