Just a reminder for anybody who is interested and located close to Chicago's South Suburbs. The inagural event for Southshore Cars and Coffee is scheduled for April 30th from 7 am - 10 am. The location is downtown Flossmoor, IL (www.flossmoor.org) in the parking lot adjacent to the Flossmoor Restaurant and Brewery (www.flossmoorstation.com)

Weather permitting, the event should be well attended as I have been working with several regional club presidents, including Pete Consolo (FCA) and Carla Guigino (LCA). My hope is that we get a pretty good cross section of marque's and vintages of automobiles. In addition, the Brewery is providing coffee and pastries throughout the morning. They also serve breakfast in case anybody is particularly hungry.

If you have any additional questions, please email me at [email protected]. I also have a flyer with a bit more detail and a map. I certainly look forward to seeing some fellow F-Chatters!

It's starting to look like we might stay dry this Saturday morning. I encourage anybody who is interested to unlock the stable door and bring your stallion to Flossmoor. If you are unsure and have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected].

Is it 7am or 8am? You OP says 7am but the PDF says 8am?

Excellent question. The original start time was 7:00 AM, however, I received some feedback about that being too early. We changed to 8:00 AM a few weeks back, but since there is bound to be confusion, I will be getting there before 7:00 AM. I also have the Brewery setting up early as well. We are going to end later as well, which is more intuitive for those that might want to grab lunch in the area.

Feel free to come at your leisure. If you're an early riser and want to "exercise" your car while traffic is light, we will be ready to receive you.

For those that are coming, safe travels tomorrow morning.

I also wish to extend my thanks for those that showed up and made our inaugural event enjoyable. Dwight and I are already discussing how to make the next go even better. One thing for sure--I need to do a better job recruiting my fellow F-Car owners. We were drowned out by all of the Porsches! LOL!

This will be a monthly event held on the last Saturday of the month until September.
And it was a lot of fun seeing all these different cars and hanging out with cool people in a beautiful location.
pr3par32die, we would love to see you there.

I would suggest to you guys to change the dates to the third Saturday of every month to give some space for both you and the Barrington group. That way people can have something to look forward to every two weeks all summer long.

In any case, I had a good time yesterday, met some new folks and bumped into an old pal. Thanks for hosting the group!

We had many rain out days the past 2 years for supercar saturday that was at the Glen, so the schedule is fine as it is.
