GO WHITE SOX!!!
Jack, you sound like my bro-in-law. He too is one of "Those People" LOL!! His hatred of the Sox is eclipsed only by his hatred of the 'Stros! GOOOOOO STROOOOOOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dave
I wanted the cards to go to the world series. Its weird watching the World Series and not seeing the Yankees or the Red Sox. But Go Astros I guess
Every time there's one of those strange calls in a game, the next guy always seems to deliver the death blow. How do you give up a home run to Podsednik, especially when it's 45 and drizzling?!
GO 'STROS!!!! Screw the ****ing White Sox. They are truely ungracious. There were numerous reports of Astros fans being treated less than friendly at games one and two. One of the fans that was assaulted happened to be Craig Biggio's wife. Did you hear about this with Cardinals fans?....NO! Because they're very gracious and show TRUE sportsmanship. One reason why the mayor of Houston wrote them a letter of thanks. And now what is MLB trying to do? Force the Astros to have the roof open because it's an advantage? ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING ME!!! Hell yea it's an advantage and the White Sox advantage is the cold weather! I really don't know what it is with Houston teams being so hated. Probably because we are nice, kind and respect other teams AND their fans. Hell we had to argure and fight to get a cover back in '94 when the Rockets won the Championship. Prediction: If Sox when the World Series there will be riots, fires and cars tipped over, hundreds arrested. Astros win, no riots, only a hand few arrested. GO ASTROS! I'll be there yelling and screaming and cheering my team on. I can't wait this is going to be one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
Yeah, welcome to the wonderful world of White Sox fans. All class. I could go on for days about how ignorant and hypocritical they are, but nobody wants to hear that... My Prediction if Sox DON'T wind World Series: Riots, fires and cars tipped over, hundreds arrested...
Is it just me, or has the officiating of this years postseason been F'n disgraceful!!!!! That foul tip by Dye that was called a hit batsman absolutely turned the outcome of the game!!!!!!! Of course it doesn't help that we routinely have runners on 2nd and 3rd with less than 2 outs and fail to freaking score!!!! Cheezus!!!!! This series is seriously going to give me an ulcer!! Dave
BWHAHAHAHA....isn't that the truth. By the way, anyone else have tickets to games 3-7? My aunt just won tickets through some lottery deal for tomorrows game.
Same ole garbage from Cubs fan Jack! Think of the Sox faults as charm. To be honest there must be a good 7% of people at the game who drive home to homes, not trailers or the projects. The father and son who jumped the ref a few years back looked like they just got out of reading Poe and listening to Bach at Barnes and Noble. Maybe the ref said something bad towards a Three Musketeer's work to have the mullet laden heros fight for the honor. I think Comisk... I mean Cellular Field has some charm and is very safe. Seeing it on the Ryan it looks beautiful, just like a scene from Independence Day right before the UFOs nuke the city. And as for the areas surrounding it, think of all those gangster snipers as your own crew as long as you throw some Wal-Mart spinners on the 328. Somalia efforts in 93 are just like our beautiful south side so I guess the land is just making it exclusive for the die-hards and Biggio's wife must have resembled a UN aid worker. If you're looking for Albert Belle's bat I think James Bond stole it. Frank Thomas is a nice man when he is not demanding a 20K raise to his 9 million dollar contract. DISCO DEMOLITION BABY!!!... But the Cubs have their faults too. I vowed never to go to the bleachers again after I saw a yuppie 30 something year old woman puke her Bud all over a grandma and pa taking their 4 grandkids out to the game. Part of the charm of our baseball teams have been the experience and people more so than the teams. If that changes to appriciation of good teams challenging for titles, so much the better. But I have little hope when people go to Wrigley to see Paul from accounting and if they can get him drunk rather than see Maddux go for a Hall of Fame type win. I never been a fan of baseball after the strikes. I'll follow it, but its definitely lost its magic. I guess I made the smart play. Its sad, Chicago's two greatest sports franchises have been a hockey team and a soccer team over the past 7 years. Not the Hawks, ( as Mr. Wirtz is still hooked up on some sort of life support machine, ) but the AHL Wolves with their multiple championships and the Fire who have always contended. I am glad the only alternative activity we have in the Windy City is the choice for oddball sports to be our winners. Want to see someone win? Freakin DeMarcus Beasley and Steve Maltais!?! Michael Jordan who, the guy from SpaceJam? RocketBoy
Excellent, my good man! My therapist was successful in stripping away the hate-layers of my psycho-onion and we made some good progress. As it turns out, I don't hate the Sox. I'm merely projecting. Apparently I'm jealous. That, combined with the constant Cubs-obsessing by a few of the fans is at the root. Just thank god we're not married to any of the Astros players! Wait. Well, you know what I mean...
I managed to stay for all 14 innings last night. Even though we lost I can still say I had an absolute fantastic time. It's something I will probably never again experience (probably never pay $50 for parking again either. *****es!). Just the feel and sound and overall enthusiasm of the crowd was awesome. Some how though, my section (106) was also home to all of the White Sox fans. A few were annoying, one guy almost got into a fight with an Astros fan, he was probably the only jerk. It's all good though. As soon as they would say "LET'S GO WHITE SOX" one time, we just returned "LET'S GO ASTROS!" continuously. Even though I barely made it through my orientation at work today from 3.5 hours of sleep I wouldn't have left any earlier. Even though it appears we won't pull it off, I still have faith we can do it. Regardless, we had one unbelievable, unforgetable season that I'll remember forever. I have pics if anyone's interested in seeing a few I'll post some. GO ASTROS!
You're a better man than me! I turned the TV off in a fit of rage and disgust after Blum's homer. I knew it was over. Can someone please explain how, with all the heavy hitters in last night's lineup, we can have 12 freaking baserunners and not get one single MF'ing hit?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM (me banging my head against a wall!) Dave (Still a lifelong 'Stros fan though)
That is total bullcrap! Who beats up a girl at a baseball game????? If that's what the White Sox fans are about, then there is no way in hell I would ever root for them. Screw the White Sox, even if they do win the World Series.
Damn damn damn. Of course, 11-1 through the playoffs is pretty impressive, even if they are from Chicago
