I am looking to book to go to Ferrari Days in Spa. I saw today that the entry form is published on the owners site. I was wandering if it is worth going for the whole 3 days. It seems quite expensive at E200 Fri and E230 each for Sat & Sun. When you include the girlfriend at E110 per day it adds up. Also I don't quite understand if on top of that you have to pay another E100 per peson for Friday and E130 per person on Sat and on Sun to get parking, paddock pass and lunch. If that is the case that would be E1770 for entrance to the event for 2 people.

I assume that if the price is so high the audience may be limited or maybe I am getting my sums wrong. Also, I wanted to ask if anyone has had prior experience of this event and if the track time is enough. There seem to be short 30min-1hr slots that owners can go round the track. I imagine that everyone will be wanting to make the most of this so the track will be packed with cars. Also, with such short slots, if there is any incident in the preceding race or during the free lap period, it will mean that no track time will be had.

Can anyone shed some light on this. I will definitely be going but I want to make up my mind if is worth 1)going for the full 3 days and 2) worth it to go as a participant or just a spectator.

    Many Thanks
    Philip

That price is ridiculous! I cannot speak for last year, but two years ago we paid 15 euro each, parked the Ferrari in the paddock and walked onto the pits. Officially you needed a special pass for the pits but we never bought them. We even drove on the track.
If you buy one of the VIP pits/track passes you will probably pay a whole lot more. But I cannot imagine that you will have to pay 1700 euro. It is definitely not worth this amount of money.

Ton, that's what i think. It makes no sense. I think I must have understood this wrongly and that is why I am asking. As you said, this may be the VIP event but owners can go there without the full hospitality pack and just look at the races and drive the track.

The link for the brochure is here

Any more insights will be very helpful

I checked out the form. That is insane. It says at the bottom of the first page that it is a suppl. of 15 euro for the paddock. Unless you want all the semi-exclusive Ferrari stuff (in a tent) I would not pay for the whole package. Of course this might mean that you will not have the opportunity to drive on the track. We just parked our cars in the line of waiting Ferrari's and drove onto the track without anybody checking for a pass.

Let's wait what the other Spa visitors say.

it makes no sense, but if you look, the 1700 Euro is the price you have to pay to go to Spa and be there for 3 days with your Ferrari, drive on track, + your hotel + your fuel costs......and the risk for you F-car (accident + gravel).

yes, i've been there several times in the past with my Mondial T, and No I don't go anymore with my Ferrari since prices to participate are CRAZY....

Now, i go every year with my weekly normal car, put it on the parking outside, and pay the 15 euro paddock/person ticket (tribune is normaly free), walk around and see the Ferrari cars, beautiful, and cheaper than the 1700 euro.

I can't understand it, 1.700 euro............No, No, No, No......., it was already a little bit expensive some years ago, but now,.....good luck to Mr. Nagelmackers and his organisation.

(not organised by Ferrari Belgio, neither By RACB anymore, but Ferrari West France)

    greetings, vincent.

Was also wondering whether to pass by the event. However, I think someone's got their sums wrong. The Ferrari/Maserati parking can't be in addition since it also includes paddock and lunch. This would mean you get two lunches if you buy a main ticket. Therefore, the €100 or €130 parking package must be if you don't want to be on track. With this you get privileged parking and a lunch and paddock.

Also, which figures are being added up to get €1770?

Sure, if you do three whole days with 9 hours of track access, visit the same cars in the paddock 3 times, get three Ferrari lunches etc. etc. then the cost mounts up. On the other hand, €200 for a day's entertainment, 3 hours track access, VIP paddock pass, lunch etc. doesn't seemm tooooooo bad, does it?

If you buy a 15 euro ticket and drive to the gate of the paddock? It worked for me. They will most probably allow all Ferrari's and Maserati's on the paddock! It is worth the try. If they don't allow you on the paddock then you can still buy the paddock parking package.

    Drew,
The €1770 is for 2 people (in one car) paying all the daily costs listed. I made this post because I am not sure if I have this correct. I will call them on Monday to find out. I was confused if I needed to pay all the itmes shown. To get this worst case I calculated the per day cost of €200/€230 for car + €110 for passanger + 2x€130 for parking and lunch. This last one also seems to me to be double counting as the previous page on the brochure seems to have this included but it does not say it is. Assuming the (2x€130) for 3 days is not needed then the cost for two is €1030. Still quite expensive but a bit more manageable assuming the event is really good.

What would be helpful is to ask anyone who has gone before if it is worth going all 3 days or would it just get a bit tedious after two ?

    Philip

    Philip,

The trick to get into the pits is NOT to go through the main Pits entrance but take one of the smaller doors alongside the pits. Usually they are open and you will find enthousiastic people working on their cars.
