Thanks for the photos. That is a strange looking vehicle. I know its a mule, but... The rims could be improved and the proportions look off. It looks like a mix of a 328 and a 355 with lots of testoserone thrown in. cheers ken
so, what i found : -model 348 with complete modified rear to take new engine -oil radiator F550 -doors F348 -drive train+brakes+suspension F355 Challenge -dashboard instrument panel F360
I can tell you when it arrived on the road, nobody was thinking it was a replica. It has the look from a replica, but the noice from the engine was more like M. Schumacher driving his F1 in the street : simply amazing. (For me this was the best thing of the whole Ferrari event)
It was sold by the factory on 28th June 2005 at the Sotheby's auction in Maranello to Uwe Meissner of Modena Motorsport Ltd in Langenfeld-Düsseldorf, Germany. Now registered on French license plates for a client of Uwe Meissner. Meissner paid Euro € 170'000 hammer price plus buyer's premium. Basically it is a stock 348 with an Enzo engine. Marcel Massini

Oh wow. Essentially a 348 with an Enzo engine, what could be better? ...actually, a 348 with an FXX engine would be better
The same car, at the Modena Track days (Nürbürgring), in july 2005. http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/2789/16262123md.jpg http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/6295/16262146rh.jpg
When I saw it at Spa, I had no idea what it was. I looked closely and recognized that someone had put a lot of work into it to make it something special. I also thought that it was someones idea of a Joke putting the 348 front half onto that back half. But when I saw that engine I knew that it was something serious. I hate that I didnt get to see or hear it run. Patrick
Engine alone should be worth more. Ferrari should have dismantled this car, they don't need the 170K do they?
