I hope the new Toyota will be quick because Le Mans will be nothing but 24 hours of parade laps for Audi. Man, those things are in a league of their own.

You can, but it's not a "trivial" process.

First, you capture the stream to your hard drive - Lots of S/W for all platforms that'll let you do that. Preferably, said hard drive should be separate to whatever is running the stream as it's obviously pretty disk intensive and sharing the drive will almost certainly result in dropped frames.

Once you've got it on the drive, burning to a DVD is the last step and again there's lots of options.

    Cheers,
    Ian

I do not know how to do any of that, heck whats S/W? I know what a seperate hard drive is though but do not have one nor can I afford one at this time.

It would be nice if I could record the 24HR of Nurburgring but if not I'll live.

S/W - "Software"..... ;) I guess you're on a Windows PC? [Which version?] - Many options are at least free to try.

You *may* be able to do it with a single drive - If you let us know what platform you're on I'll point you in the right direction for a few you could try.

All 24 hours! That's a *lot* of data....... Gonna need a *big* drive!

    Cheers,
    Ian

As a VW/Audi owner they do great in support of fans of their efforts. I had the tele on LeMan last year and the telemetry link for the Audi machines on line. Very cool.

All I know is I have Windows 7 Ultimate. If I cannot record the race I would atleast like to know how to record other streaming races. This race was actually the very first race I have ever watched via live streaming and will be watching again tomorrow, hopefully it is on the same link.

Anywho what a fantastic race and man I wish I was there. Not only was the racing great but the scenery and the weather made it even more enjoyable for me, I love the cool and forever changing weather like that. I gotta get my egg's all in one basket and try to attend next years 24hr at either Spa or at the 'Ring.

Exactly -- one of my racing mantras is:

Spa in torrential rain is better than nay other circuit in balmy sunshine.

    OK - That's a pretty good start - At least you've got a (somewhat ;)) "modern" machine......

    Here's one that gets pretty good reviews on Cnet;

    http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/index.html

It's a 14 day free trial then ~$40 to keep it working.

Google "record streaming video download reviews" for more info than you probably want!....

The 14 day trial version *may* limit how much you can save - I haven't checked, but at the very least you'll see if it can do the job with your "shared" hard disk.

Good luck - Be interested to hear if you're successful.

    Cheers,
    Ian

I do not like alot of hassle with computers ie free trails, loading this and that etc etc as I do not have the patience, so hopefully I will be able to watch live streaming via the same link that I watched the 6HR Spa race on today.

    Thanks anyway.

Not that I'm aware of, unless it's a support race?

Looking forward to Le Mans 24 next month.

It was a good race despite the lower number of cars as compared to prior years. Won't complain at all on the cost, 25 euro included parking; the autograph session was held in respective boxes on the pit lane side and as a result you had a hour pitwalk with half hour autograph session. Nicolas Prost, Neel Jani, Nick Heidfeld, Rebellion team, had a crowd at their table as did Gimi Bruni and Fisi....Audi's area was jammed packed with people (typical). Friday was pretty good weather-wise, but yesterday was an entirely different story!
