Geez, got an email from someone I haven't heard from for about a year or so, asking me what's up. Replied, got back an email trying to sell me some kinda 'health' drink. Other 'friends' with travel and some kinda memory stuff.

What makes them think I want that stuff?

Although......I can't remember what kind of memory stuff that was.........

A few years ago I had an old friend contact me about coming for a visit. I gladly accepted thinking it would be very nice to re-establish with him. He then comes to my house with a stranger selling some Amway BS.

Maybe I'm being selfish but I was very annoyed. The justification is that I am trying to save you some money. Its a better way. Just as in religion, they feel justified knowing that they are trying to "save" you. Whether is your money or your soul. P!sses me off.

Its like a discussion I got into this bible beating guy at a former job. You are going to hell unless you convert! I got tired of hearing this so I approached him in this fashion. Let's agree for the sake of arguement that there are 5 major religions (arbitrary number, I know that there are many more out there) - Hindu, Buddist, Christianity, Judism, Islam, ect... He agreed to that. Let's also say that each religion feels that in its own right, it is the right religion. He agreed to that. So by process of elimination, a couple of them have to be wrong, we can't all say that we are right in our assumption on the nature of god and hell and all that stuff. he agreed to that as well. So therefore, what if you are recruiting me to the wrong team? What if you are damning my soul because you picked wrong team and have now converted me to the losing side? He couldn't fathom the arguement.

    I hate spam.

Didn't mean to post a religious item in this section. Sorry, my rant just led me in that direction. My apologies if I have offended anyone.

Not at all. At least they're not looking to behead you. I see your point because my cousin asked for my E-mail address. Being family, I gave it to him. Now I get 5-10 crazy newsletters per day. I cancel as many as I can but, hitting the delete button so many times every day is eventually going to cause me to delete this "family" member.
