With testing being completed and each team coming to the table with a raft of updates it might as well be the first race of the season again. Kimi is taking the gloves off and Red Bull are flustered. This will be good.

Anyone's guess, but my shot in the dark is:

    qualy:
    Vettel
    Hamilton
    Schumacher
    Raikkonen
    Rosberg
    Button
    Webber
    Grosjean
    Alonso
    Kobayashi

    race:
    Hamilton
    Schumacher
    Vettel
    Raikkonen
    Button

I think the competition is a bit too tight this year for Ferrari to hope others didn't gain a lot by the Mugello updates as well. Ferrari did make some progress but I don't believe their position will change much as other teams progressed as well.

    Cant argue with that.
    Race:
    Vet
    Ham
    Kimi
    Web
    Alonso
    But
    Nico
    MS

A boring but safe bet for me, I'm not that bothered I hope a underdog surprises, and we get some overtaking, it's a crap track for it normally.

Actually a week ago Pirelli made a comment in that sense as a response to MS' whining.

No, but it'd stilll be a ridiculous situation. Endurance racing in F1? Crazy!

I like the excitment of the tires, but it's plain to see that when the drivers step out of the cars they are not even remotely pushing themselves as hard as they used to have to. I remember back in the V10 era grooved tire days Alonso beind unable to stand on the podium at Malaysia, now it looks as though they barely break a sweat out there.

I think you're taking his comments out of context. Just because he says he doesn't like the tires, doesn't mean he is blaming his poor results on them or something. He's also NOT alone in his thoughts, but probably one of the few that doesn't care about bringing it up because he's Michael and could give a **** less, not a young gun that doesn't want to piss off some sponsor or Pirelli.

Is it whining? Not really, because he is just stating his opinion rather than making excuses for himself through expressing his dislike for the tires. If he was blaming poor results on the tires like Webber did last year, for instance, I think that would be a different story. Did you consider Kimi to be whining when he told the press he thought the DRS was stupid? Same scenario.

I recently read a comment from Pirelli saying how they are excited that there could be a 5th different winner this year at Spain since they are bringing totally different compounds, which concerns me. Their job is not to be concerned with the results of the races. They should be seen, never heard...

Pirelli is handling "their end" of the bargain by making the racing more interesting, Bridgestone had their hands full with the bore fest. Pirelli on the other hand has put me on the edge of my seat for each race.

Let them practice, give them more engines, and let them use any tyres, lets get back to real racing. Until that happens I believe Pirelli has a great alternative. It forces each team to innovate on a weekly basis.

Expressing and whining are two different things.

I'm curious, the new Pirellis...are they easier to drive on? Someone posted above on how Fred was unable to stand on the podium in Malaysia a few years ago, and now, they all look fresh as a daisy.

I believe the reference is to the fact that the drivers no longer push themselves to exhaustion. This is because they do not push 100% of the time due to the tires not lasting as they have in the past. The performance drops off too fast if the tires are pushed too hard. To manage the tires as best they can they have to drive well within the limits of themselves and the car.

Why doesn't anyone believe in Grosjean or Perez for a top 5 place?

    For me:
    Kimi
    Vettel
    Button
    Hamilton
    Perez
    Alonso
    Grosjean

I think this is only partially true. Michael is simply saying he sees himself and his car capable of much more with the tires being a road block. You have to understand, Michael pushed cars in ways they could technically not be pushed. Other younger drivers can still do this to a certain extent, but they don't understand what it used to be like when tires were not a limiting factor. I think Michael just has the experience to comment with clarity where others simply cannot as they haven't the experience.
