If we can keep this civil, the next GP is little more than 4 days and 15 hours away. So predictions: 1) Massa 2) Raikkonen 3) Alonso 4) Kubica 5) Heikki 6) Heidfeld 7) Hamilton 8) Sato* First place is a toss up, don't care in which order they come in, just finish 1/2, although to give Ted and Andreas some heartburn.......that would be enjoyable. I am expecting Renault to make rapid advancements either for Spain or no later than Monaco, and to catch up to BMW. Spain makes sense as it is important the Fernando do well in his home country. Alonso will podium very soon, and he will win before Monza, likely Monaco as that place does not require speed, just great driving. Again, I think Heikki will outperform his teammate, as will Kubica. I think McLaren will back pedal again. Of course, this is all purely conjecture. *I just feel badly that you never see his name on these lists, so I thought I would include him just this once. But really it will be Webber or Button.
1) Kimi 2) Massa- Massa does decent at this track, so I gotta give him some credit. 3) Kubica 4) Hamster 5) Alonso - it is his home race after all 6) Kovy 7) Heidfeld
on the list but in my heart I think he puts the Maca into the agricultural section and DNF's... Hami is in a rut and with Fred getting updates, Hami might as well have a red target on his back...
Ron, how the hell do you have Alonso in 3rd? 1) Massa 2) Raikkonen 3) Hamilton 4) Kovalainen 5) Heidfeld 6) Kubica 7) Alonso 8) Trulli
1. Hami (McLaren always do well here, and everyone at Ferrari are saying "we're not counting them out" so neither am I) 2. Kimi or Massa (One of them will have bad luck) 3. HK 4. Heidfeld 5. Kubica 6. Trulli (I think as Alonso does the Toyota is one of the faster cars on the grid*) 7. FA 8. Nico 9. Webber *
I think the Ferraris race pace is still superior to everyone else's .BMW is second fastest with Mclaren in third. With that in mind: 1.Massa 2.Kimi 3.Heidfeld 4.Kubica 5.Hamilton 6.Heikki 7.Trulli 8.Rosberg Regarding Alonso he might have a podium or two in the wet but he won't have a single win this year. The speed difference to the top teams will not be overcome this year .
1 Felipe Massa 50:50 with Kimi could go either way. 2 Kimi Raikkonen 3 Robert Kubica seems to be consistant 4 Lewis Hamilton ,still on learning curve in respect of fighting from the mid field, if he put's it on pole a different matter, he will win 5 Nick Heidfeld 6 Heikki Kovalainen ,hard to say if the car is set right he may podium. 7 Fernando Alonso ,Should be on the money here home turf. 8 Jenson Button, if all goes well even better. 9 Jarno Trulli 10 Mark Webber 11 Nico Rosberg 12 Rubens Barrichello 13 Nico Rosberg 14 Timo Glock 15 Giancarlo Fisichella It's a bit radical but I'am giving it Massa, but I wouldn't put any money on it.
1 Kubica 2 Raikkonen 3 Heidfeld 4 Hamilton 5 Alonshole 6 Kovailanen Advanced prediction - 3/6 FIA world council votes for Madmax's resignation over allegations that he's brought the sport into disrepute.
Renault is keeping very quiet, but I understand they have made major improvements. Could be all hype, but Briatore is not spending all this money on Fred to have him leave at the end of one year, taking with him millions and all the Renault development information. Flavio is a very bright guy, he has something up his sleeve, and I do not mean his elbow. And Alonso is obviously an excellent driver and has been way too calm in interviews so far. His smiles are saying something else. This is the opinion of only one Ferrari employee, so take it for what its worth. Personally I am buying into it. I am guessing that they will show these improvements in Spain because of Alonso, but I think you will see a big jump for Renault by the end of May. As race fan, I hope this is true. Although I want Ferrari to take it all by the end of the year, I would like to see a different manufacturer win each of the next few races, BMW, Renault, Williams, even Toyota and Red Bull. Next year, Honda. I want racing, not a parade.
For those of you with bad memories (Ted), this was the result in Spain last year (2007). Massa likes this place. Kimi DNF'd. Sato was 8th, maybe my prediction about him this year isn't wrong? Nah..... Driver Car/Engine 1 Felipe Massa Ferrari 2 Lewis Hamilton McLaren/Mercedes 3 Fernando Alonso McLaren/Mercedes 4 Robert Kubica BMW Sauber/BMW 5 David Coulthard Red Bull/Renault 6 Nico Rosberg Williams/Toyota 7 Heikki Kovalainen Renault 8 Takuma Sato Super Aguri/Honda
Massa Kimi Heidfeld Kubik Kova Hammi Fred edit : i really hope it'll be a good finish for the Super Aguris...points at least
