A little less than 4 hours left to go. can't wait :)
I can't wait either! Luckily for you it's showing at a decent hour. I on the other hand have to go to sleep soon in an attempt to get a couple hours in before the race.
it's 5 pm now. 3 hours left. european races here normally is live at 8 pm. it's the american races that odd hours here. whats the time there for u when the race starts?
4.30 am?! thats madness... well, the American races are screened about 1-2 am here. so it's not so bad
My 82 year old father-in-law gets up (or sometimes simply stays up until) 4:30 a.m. to watch F-1 Mark (in Seattle - 1 hour and 47 minutes and counting)
I've stayed up here on the east coast (6:26 AM right now). I woke up at 2PM Saturday by accident so I can't go to sleep now...
Good morning/evening/afternoon all. 6:30 am for me, which is pretty decent compared to when I usually have to get up to watch the races. Mark
Pre-show just came on. Good news is that F1 may be broadcast in HD later in this year. I'll be anxious for that to occur as we watch many other sports programs on hd and they are so very much better than non-hd. This morning's start will be an interesting one - Alonso has typically been fast on the get-go so I would suspect him to get the jump on Felipe. I would hope, however, this will not be the case. In the last many Spanish GP's the winner has been who started on the front row. Lots of news again this morning mostly with Bernie running his mouth again. Glad to see that Bourdais is again testing - I firmly believe that Speed and Antonio are on their way out of F1. First time since the first year of F1 that there's been a three-way tie for the DC. GO FELIPE. Carol Bernie'Ecclestone has suggested that the McLaren driver can be put in the same league as seven-time champion Michael Schumacher. "He is doing a super job. If you looked at him and put Michael's helmet on, then you would think it was Michael." . . . now if we can get him from silver to red . . . .
Very good segment on the fuel bladders. I really appreciate Speed is trying to bring the sport closer to the fans. I hope they add more segments like Racing Per Matchett; good, interesting information. Mark
Good morning . . it certainly was most interesting - it makes it much more interesting to know more about the hows and whys of the working of the cars. Definitely know now why soild fuel tanks aren't used. Almost time . . . .
Alonso tried to overtake Massa from the outside, it looked like he bounced into him and then off into the gravel. He was lucky to come out in fourth, but now his race is screwed as he's light on fuel and behind Kimi. Hamilton/Alonso did a good job of boxing Kimi in and allowing Hamilton to overtake. Kimi looks heavy on fuel also.
He had his nose ahead of Massa, going into turn one, then went onto the gravel trying to defend the position going into turn two and lost a lot of time. Mark
Great start by Massa. Never had to retake what he didnt loose. Alonso showed his desperation as he tried a move that was imposible unless Massa backed off. Massa is no longer going to back off for anyone. Alonso now knows this.
Shades of MS right now in Felipe - he's got a lead so run, run, run build up the times so you can make a pit stop and come back in front. Thank goodness Alosono didn't take out Kimi or the two BMW - could be the pressure of being in front on one's home crowd leading to mistakes? Carol GO FELIPE
Yes! I just saw the replay - I imagine he was still hurting from losing pole yesterday, and came out too agressive. Do you think they'll let Hamilton beat Alonso on his home track? Go Massa! Peter
Lap 8 has Massa up by 5.6 on Lewis 7.6 back of Massa in 3rd is Kimi and 9 sec plus in Alonso and now Kimi has a problem on Lap 9 and is crawling into the pits. KImi is OUT of the race.
