My understanding is that they are not allowed to bring a pre-built spare car.....

but they are allowed to bring a spare tub and enough parts to build a car, anyone with more knowledge then I wish to elaborate?

I think you are correct. Brian, what exactly did you hear? I can't imagine anyone is allowed to qualify one car, and then run another.

From what I understand of the rules he has to race in the car that he qualified in. I know that they built up his qualifying car from a tub and parts and it wasn't assembled prior to his accident.

I know the guys worked until early this morning preparing the car after yesterday’s accident, so a big thank you to them.

You can build a car to race but it must be in pieces before it's needed.
