If anyone needs a spare key I can recommend this company: www.keys4classics.com Just send them a pic of your keys and they will send you the correct key. You dont need the code!!! if you have the code its cheaper. I had two keys cut from pictures for under $ 35.00 delivered,in under 2 weeks and I live the other side of the world from them.
I agree. I sent the key codes for my door & ignition keys and got them to send me blanks, too. Great service and the keys worked perfectly!
I've used keys4classics as well and have been satisfied with their keys. I also found a site in New Jersey called http://www.mysecuritypro.com which seems to offer a lot of the same keys. Never used them, though they do appear to be cheaper.
Thanks guys for the recommendations. At Keys4Classics, we - that's me plus a few helpers- do things a little differently from most key cutters or locksmiths, maybe that's worth explaining. Firstly, what I don't do - I don't duplicate keys (that is trace or copy an existing key). Sure it works most of the time but if you place a proper value on your keys there is a better way - cutting to code to create a new key that's (emphatically) not a "copy" of your original. Remember that if your key is worn you'll copy the wear too. A code-cut key takes it back to new (factory) specs. I don't do all keys. Just automotive keys, in particular for European makes. And mostly I don't use the regular aftermarket keys common across North America. I hand-pick keys and use more expensive European-made where possible, they're precise and well-finished, not to mention a little more authentic for European marques. I decode keys from an emailed photo or scan, and from that make new keys like they came fresh out of the factory, by cutting/miling them on the latest computerized equipment. And guarantee it. There's more information about key codes, differences between duplicating and code-cutting, key materials, and our specialized interests at http://www.keys4classics.com Cheers-- Stuart
I have keys from Stuart too! They work great in my 348 -- no problems whatsoever. I bought them several years ago, and was stunned how quickly they arrived from "down under". Especially with OEM keys being suspended from Ferrari, keys4classics is a good find.
Stuart. Nice to see you here. He did a couple of sets of keys for my Dino. They are Perfect!! And man, is he fast and affordable. He's the Daniel (Ricambi America) of car keys, and that's no small compliment. DM
