Hi All, Be gentle this is my first post I recently purchased my first Ferrari, a 2001 360 Spider. Its yellow and as far as I can tell is factory standard. I think the back end would look much better (and run cooler) if it had the Challenge grill. Any thoughts on where to go (web or otherwise) for a grill? I'm sure I could order it through the dealer here in Brisbane, but I suspect it will cost me a small fortune for my trouble. Thanks, Matt.
I bought a new one for my 360 N-GT Michelotto a while back, and they are surprisingly expensive. The quote from the dealer was north of $5000 (can't remember exactly) and I got it through Phil for $3750. They are available from places overseas; but a word of warning, they do NOT travel well and are easily damaged.
embarassingly, they have now come down even more since Scott bought his. The can be had for 500GBP if you shop wisely. plus shipping etc But as Scott said, they don't travel well.
I got three quotes from 3 sources at the time, and Phil was the cheapest. None of them were anywhere near Scud's price.
Lots of choices. Dealer, Maranello in England, Rutlands for older stuff etc. Do a google search under Ferrari parts.
keith at euro marque brisbane . he is the ferrari service manager and a top bloke . 3252 8222 . scott , i think the part may be the same but they might change the part number for the race car and up goes the price . however i did read here the 2 parts have slightly different size holes in them
Yep I know Keith well. Top guy. Heading to the US for NYE so I might keep an eye out over there... not sure how the airline will react to the grill as carry on luggage.
