Image Unavailable, Please Login I have what I believe to be an original plastic liner. There is a crack on the little door That hides the break fluid. I purchased a replacement liner Years ago but the texture is not the same. Does anybody have A product they recommend to fix this?
Doubt you could repair that without it showing and looking a pigs ear. Buy a new one, superfomance stock them as do dino parts and are the cheapest but I cannot vouch for quality on both ie good repro's SF just sell the door but doubt it will match your old servo cover! Tony
I have seen texture variations between various original liners so I would not worry if your replacement does not match 100%. One difference in the newer liners is the hinge which is most often steel with a clear zinc finish. Original hinges were brass so for the best replacement transfer your old hinge to the new liner.
If you want exactly the same texture, you could take a mold off a large area of the liner. This is done by brushing on a thin layer of silicone. Using the silicone sheet of the texture, this can be put into a mold to make a part.
I knew someone would have a solution. It is above my level of skill. I would have to find a mold maker
Hello Sal, and Happy New Year! I cannot seem to find your email. Could you please write me ? I have a photo to send you, and somehow I simply cannot put it on Dinoland. Regards, Alberto
