Hi, I am looking for a wheel for the spare tire on a Mondial t. I believe the front has 16 x 7s and the rear 16 x 8. If I get a 7inch spare, will it work temporaily on the rear? What was there originally?
    thanks, Dave

No spare was supplied on a Mondial t -- just a can of "fix-a-flat".

Using a 7" wheel on the rear is fine for temporary emergency use (that's what came on 308QV that has the same 7" front and 8" rear situation). Some of the F models have a ~3" spare wheel and that works fine for temporary emergency use as long as you keep the speed down.

Thanks, I'll update my profile today, in the mean time you can email me at [email protected] I am in Virginia. Let me know what you want for the wheel and if you are willing to ship. Are the US wheels the same as europe?
    Thanks Dave

My 308GT4 came with an 18 inch (in 1974 !) wheel of about 4" width. Max rated speed = 150 kph (94 mph). Both written on the tyre as well as in the user manual. So much for keeping the speed down!!

I drove with this wheel in wintery conditions. Hard to feel the difference. Handled remarkably well with it.
