I am about to swap put the spark plugs on my 03 360 Spider. I was wondering if anti sieze compound was required or recommended on the plug threads. Also is locktite required or recommended for the plug wire hold down screws. Lastly what is the plug gap.

I dont think you need the anti seize.
    The gap should be 0.6 -/- 0.7mm

I would recommend the Anti-Seize, the spark plug threaded body is Steel, and the cylinder head is aluminum. If you actually follow the Ferrari, manual and torque the plugs you can get a false torque reading from the friction of the steel and aluminum surfaces. In Fact the Ferrari shop manual recommends using a small amount of lubricant on the plugs threads and torqueing them to 9,8 NM. Gap should be 0.6-0.7mm. You do not need a lot of anti-seize just enough to coat the threads of the spark plug. Remember anti-seize goes along way so don’t over use it. I used Anti-Seize every time I change plugs on my race car (Well My Old Race car) I also did on my Ferrari, and every other car I changed plugs on.

Thanks for all the great info. Can someone please confirm that 9.8 newton meters converts to 7.3018652778423005 foot pounds. Seems kind of loose to me.

Despite de fact that the WSM advices to use Champion copper anti-seize grease, my official Ferrari Dealer never use any grease on the spark plug threads. I was a bit surprised when I questionned them about this subject but they garanteed me that never ever they had any problem with a seized spark plug. They told me that somehow the steel of the NGK spark plug thread contains a chemical auto-lubrificating compound and that there is no need to add any other anti-seize lubrificant.

I'd love to have your opinions about this.

    TIA,
    Stef

Made by NGK at Ferraris request. There was trouble with the life span of the 8A's.

And it's a bad idea not to use antisieze.

Curious, what other plugs can go into these, or is the Ferrari NGK plug THE only way to go

Is everyone changing their spark plugs according to miles or time? For a car that only has 15,000 miles but it is 5 years old.
